So uh... what gender are the bots? What pronouns should we use? Should we stereotype based on subreddit so that, for example, /u/gonewild_SS is a woman, and /u/gaybros_SS is a man?

This is a serious issue.

No. The bots will self-identify as they please. If you wish to use a pronoun, glean information from what they have posted/commented for the day.
