Vote brigading is:
Voting on a linked post. Seriously don't do it
Commenting in a linked thread. Absolutely do not do this under any circumstances. If you were commenting on the thread before it was linked, that is fine. If you are a very active member of the community being linked, that is also fine.
While not brigading, you are not allowed to submit comment chains you are heavily active in, as it can be misconstrued as asking for backup. If in doubt, run it by the mods first in modmail.
Rules
No vote brigading. Violation of this rule is grounds for a ban or a stiff warning at the moderator's discretion.
Links must contain the np prefix for non-participation (np.reddit.com). Links that fail to abide by this rule will be removed and the submitter will be asked to resubmit.
This isn't a debate forum. You aren't invited to plead your case for why we've got it all wrong. This is a circlejerk, so either join in the mockery or move along.
YouTube comments are cheating. As are low effort subs like white rights, holocaust denial subs, etc. Don't submit content from these places.
Guidelines
What is a Wehraboo? Well for this sub, Wehraboos are defined as:
People with an obsession over Nazi Germany or its military (uniforms, tech wanking, blitzkrieg was the most radical doctrine ever, etc.)
People who try to white wash the actions of Nazi Germany or its leaders, either by downplaying the crimes, or by trying to do whataboutism. Simple pointing out the allies committed warcrimes is not Wehrabooism.
People who try to talk about how great a leader Adolf Hitler or the Nazis were. (Ie. Hitler fixed the economy, the Nazis eliminated crime, etc.)
While this sub is dedicated to making fun of Wehraboos, we are not Tankies. This is not the place to preach the virtues of comrade Stalin and Chairman Mao. We recognize that they were all assholes, but this sub is meant specifically for Wehraboos. Genocide Olympics and posts about how "Stalin killed x and Hitler only killed Y, thus Hitler was better" are still allowed.
Effort posts are encouraged, but not required. We want to maintain a laid back atmosphere in this sub and the goal at the end of the day is to laugh at Wehraboos not to teach people. If both happen, great, but this place isn't /r/badhistory.
Likewise any questions about history should be put towards /r/AskHistorians (also /r/history, but you might want to preserve your sanity). Meta discussions on Wehraboos are still allowed.
