Amen. Shady doctors of any stripe are to be shamed, but no reputable plastic surgeon should repeatedly indulge obvious dysmorphia. I’ve heard a lot of plastic surgeons speak out in the wake of shows like Botched to say they won’t operate on mentally ill people who repeatedly get the same surgeries in a desperate attempt to match their ideal.

I realize it’s a slippery slope, but this guy was pretty obviously unwell even to the layperson, so I think his doctors should’ve noticed.

This is true. For all we know the former partner tried and failed to help him out, and this guy was just affecting his mental health as well, dragging him down. We shouldn’t try to save people if we can’t. Sometimes you have to save yourself first. Indirectly or directly blaming someone like this is unfair. Dating a mentally unstable person takes a huge toll on a person. I can’t blame anyone for peacing out.
