False. The reason men are objectified into being bigger and stronger is because that is what women typically find attractive. Fit men with great skin, great hair, ect. Just like with women.
not sure what country she lives in, but men are roughly just as likely to be raped and beaten in first world countries, and even more likely than women to be killed.
Are we ignoring the incredibly high male suicide rate in men, specifically teens and young adults? Are we ignoring the lack of shelters or support of male abuse victims? Are we ignoring that children, no matter the gender, report being unhappy with their looks? Are we ignoring the romance novels with perfect looking men dedicating themselves to women, lifetime movies that almost always depict a woman average or even below average appearances always seeming to get the perfectly hot guy who either has lots of money or provides groundbreaking sex?
Just because you choose not to see the effects of male objectification does not mean it doesn’t exist. Just because you don’t support abuse and rape shelters for men and thus see few if any, does not mean the victims do not exist.
If you cared about equality, if you cared about people, you would base your equality on facts and help everyone that needs it, not erase and ignore the victims you assume don’t suffer as much as you for the same thing.
Please fix your feminism. No one will take it seriously if you keep up the ‘treat issues with justified inequality’ act.
