This is at Ohio State right on lane. They have done it the last few years. At one point the speedo guy was humping a giant rainbow stuffed gorilla.

Dangit. I just said to the GF, "This looks like OSU." This house is just down from the apt building with the concrete culvert walkway?

Who would've thought I'd get a rush of nostalgia from mention of a concrete culvert walkway. North campus runs deep man.

I lived in the basement of that building. We all signed the culvert of course. Back in '97

After all these years on Reddit we finally meet. Through this careless comment of yours and some review of your post history including "how to pay a friend back using the most inconvenient means possible" I am sure of it. Sloppy work friend. I flushed you out of your lair you demon! Go Buckeyes.

Couple places used to do that at Illinois State as well. Dude would usually sit in the kiddie pool dressed in a penguin outfit with a beer.

saw kids do this at WVU in 2003. I can only guess this comes instinctually to douchebags.

As a douchbag, I can confirm.

I can't imagine the horror a father must feel upon seeing that as he drops his daughter off at university for the first time.

I like to imagine I'd laugh, knowing that these are likely just goofy college kids doing what they do, drop my daughter off, and say "Well sweetie, I've had 18 years to teach you how to independently make good decisions. Use protection, don't catch anything, don't get pregnant, and keep up on your homework. Call me if you need anything."

But hey, maybe I'm wrong.

Funny enough though, those types of things happen less to worldly, non-shut-in girls that have been taught how to make good decisions. They more commonly happen to girls living with a ton of rules and finally gets a bit of freedom and has no idea what to do with it.

Yea I'd teach the hell out of my daughter, but everyone makes mistakes.

Also, parents now have social media to track all good and bad decisions

But I thought every dad nowadays liked to intimidate the guys that come and respectfully pick his daughter up for a date with a gun?

Yeah, I think some dads get too hung up. My job is to raise her up to 18, teach her right and from there she's an adult who can do whatever she wants.

No bro, that's to rational. HATE ALL COLLEGE AGED MEN WHO MAKE JOKES

Found the rational man. What happened to everyone else on this thread? All these dudes like "omg I can't believe that guy said he would bang my daughter how dare he". Like wtf guys, have none of you played halo and said your gonna fuck someone else's mom? SAME SHIT NOOBS. Now gtfo before I 1040noscope your mom in the snatch.

As a father of twin girls I can tell you my heart hurt seeing that. Thank god they are only 6 and I doubt Ill be able to afford college.

I'm imagining the daughter taking one look at speedo guy and saying, "What a colossal douche-bag." Father is relieved and swells with pride.

Gave me the opportunity to see all the houses and apartments around campus while looking for a parking space. Also this picture is of the newish townhouses on 43rd street which I drove past at least twice everytime I went to class.

If you drove past it twice or more every time you went to class, I seriously doubt your sense of direction and even begin to question if you went to the same college.

The first sign slightly offensive. The other two seem alright. It saddens me as a Virginian that ODU would allow it.

These look like new apartments, not dorms. Odu can't say shit iirc I think I've been to a few of these apartments.

Yeah its The District apartments.

They could charge the students with violations of the Code of Student Conduct. However with that said, if someone living in those apartments in not attending ODU, I'd put the blame on them because then the school legally couldn't do shit. They couldn't even charge the students living in the apartment as there are no accessory violations in the Student Conduct.

Yeah, it's at The District. It's typically the most privileged kids get rooms there. They are way overpriced, but for their mom and dad it's no issue to pay an extra couple hundred dollars a month.

You'll see a lot of dumb shit, because these kids have never really seen actual consequences as a result of their affluence.

ODU doesn't allow it. As soon as the university found out about it they shut it down quick. It made the local news.

I was sitting in the college student union building and a couple of guys were cat calling girls loudly as they walked by. Just then tour of high school kids and their parents came through. One of the father's reflexively put his arm around his daughter. Frat guy yells out,"I'll be her daddy next year!"

The girl was frozen in place with the dorkiest open mouthed smile and spacey look in her eyes. The father had to pull her away with both hands and the entire room busted out laughing.

Teenagers are stupid.

I really don't understand why guys think behavior like that is okay. It is literally sexual harassment.

The girl was frozen in place with the dorkiest open mouthed smile and spacey look in her eyes.

this is why

Why does that reaction make it okay? Sounds like she was transfixed by social embarrassment with no idea how to respond. At least that seems more likely than that she was actually into some random douchebag who catcalled her in front of her father.

She had that look because every guy ignored her in high school so when the attractive older guy had the balls to make a pass at her in front of her father, she instantly became a water slide.

it doesn't make it OK, it makes it understandable. because they want to get laid. and they're douchebags.

respecting m'ladies intensifies

That's bullshit. Saying men shouldn't catcall and harass women in public isn't being a neck beard, it's being a considerate person.

I am a lady. And I was an awkward freshman once.

Wtf? Seriously? I'm amazed that you think you OP can read other people's thoughts, or expressions, he doesn't seem all that bright. But honestly, even if that comment really really impressed the girl, the guy saying it will still be a douche-nozzle to the rest of us.

Remember, it's only sexual harassment if you're unattractive.

God damn people in this thread have no sense of humor. It's obviously a joke. Everything you see there is put on for show.

I'd think the yard was intentionally trashed to look as bad as possible for parents.

It's glaringly obvious that they're just having some fun.

Nice guy neckbreads trying to be white nights for no reason. . .

I live a few blocks from here. (42 year old male) and every yard off campus around OSU looks like this. The city actually provided 20 or so free dumpsters on each block to try to curb all the crap everywhere. Students...

I understand that these guys are joking, but I think I can see it from a parent's perspective.

Despite progression and sexual liberation and all that jazz, I doubt any sane parent wants to imagine their child in a gang bang getting circlejerked from a bunch of weirdos in furry costumes.

Granted, I'm not a dad, but I have a nephew and child cousins; my friends have young children and I'm at least a little close to them, so I think I can relate at least somewhat.

It's not about "whiteknighting". That term gets thrown around too much. Oh, these guys must be white knights because they don't want their children making poor decisions and banging half the college campus. Sure.

To the fuckhead frat guys, yes - it's a goddamn riot. To the dads, freaking out over their little girl going to college, not so much. I personally hate this shit. I really can't understand how the college would sanction this kind of behavior, as it sort of undermines the educational aspect of the school. I hate that goons like this are allowed to do something so crass, in full view of new/future students and their families.

    [–]Lord--Of--Darkness 16

I really can't understand how the college would sanction this kind of behavior, as it sort of undermines the educational aspect of the school.

The "college experience" is actually a selling point for a lot of colleges.

A ton of students don't really care about the education. That's a side objective. But the main objective is to party, have fun, and maybe even get a "mrs. degree.'

Every tour I took at a college, the tour guide would talk about the campus atmosphere, and all the social activities that happened on campus.

The nice part about the college experience is that it's a choose your adventure thing. I personally chose not to attend the types of parties you might prefer not to remember, where people have sex in public and get pics take of them and downslope ski drunk and get taped together and vomit over each other. Didn't mean I didn't attend any party and didn't have an excitinf social life. The people who did attend didn't all do badly in their studies either. It's a matter of figuring out what you'd rather be doing with your time and that's entirely a personal choice.

Now, frats still suck when they promote bullying and are safety hazards. The "skiing drunk" part was in my book the biggest problem I had with my school's shenanigans. A bigger deal than the sex and vomit.

Obligatory "bet you're fun at parties" comment or whatever the fuck they say to shut down discussion.

I hate that goons like this are allowed to do something so crass, in full view of new/future students and their families.

    The 1950's are over.

College (if not high school) is when girls get plowed by the guys in this picture.

    Be them, or don't.

Perhaps you forget, but the guys in this picture are likely to get girls pregnant and at least some of them will have daughters, and if we are all lucky, they will have to bring their daughters to college and one day, it all comes full circle as their daughters go get fucked by the same assholes their fathers once were.

"Hater niggaz marry hater bitches and have hater kids" ~Ye

The college isn't sanctioning anything. They can't tell people what to do off campus.

Depends on the school. I went to Iowa state which has 100+ Greek houses and all but a few are off campus.

    Moms welcome too.

I know it seems funny, but this type of stuff hurts a college's image. And all I can think of when looking at the picture is that the house looks like a den for sexual assault.

Wish i could take a peek into the future

Some dudes were ogling a FTIC girl at an orientation recently. Her dad said something and one of the guys said something to the effect of "she'll have more cocks in her than a henhouse soon".

When I used to be a neurotic, ugly loser who couldn't get laid, I would despise people like this because they were enjoying life and were getting laid. I would come up with reasons like "they are unintelligent" but that's pretty ridiculous because smart attractive people often have casual sex.

There's this myth amongst reserved introverts of above average intelligence where they think that all extroverted, attractive people with active social lives are less intelligent and I found that out when I came out of my shell. This is nonsense and it stems from the fact that general intelligence can take multiple forms.

Now that I got my shit together and can have casual sex, I'm a happier person and I can laugh at this. I sincerely believe that a lot of the anger in these comments is due to a deeply rooted sense of insecurity and is a coping mechanism of sorts.
