What we all know is that the modern 'progressive' SJWs are using journalism (we first noticed game journalism, but it's pretty obvious at this point that it's not limited to that), non-STEM academia, and social media to spread their political ideology. We know that they don't often do this in the normal way, of simply expressing what they believe as best they can, but rather they sneak in the back door, collude with each other, and work to make sure that people are hearing their message, and ONLY their message, without revealing that's what they're doing. Again and again we see back door collusion, censorship, block lists, and pure opinion disgused as 'scientific research', all with the end of indoctrinating people without the people having an opportunity to realize that's what's happening.

That's what we know, but I wonder how much we've reflected on just how bad that is. Imagine if we heard about something similar in a completley different context: suppose we learned that a group of Randian Objectivists had been infiltrating the upper ranks of the Shinto faith in Japan, and slowly replacing and changing their teachings in order to influence the culture without the people even realizing it. Now, the proud Shinto faith was teaching the words of Ayn Rand instead of their own traditional values, because people with no respect for Shinto had come in and made it that way- all without announcing their presence or intentions to the followers they were manipulating.

That's the sort of thing we're dealing with here. And if you think the comparison to journalism and academia to religion is a stretch, bare in mind the SJWs are doing this with religion too- there are books and essays all over the place discussing the best way to work radical feminist and other authoritarian leftist themes into traditional religions without the parishoners catching on.

Now, I will assume that your typical GG person knows this and knows it's evil. But it's worse than that. Progressives themselves have all sorts of nifty terms - cultural appropriation, cultural imperialism, etc.- for this exact same kind of behavior that they themselves are engaging in. The progressives trying to subvert gamer culture and turn everything into Sunset would condemn in the strongest possible language the hypothetical objectivist takeover of Shinto I descirbe above.

GG people are diverse, so I won't preach to you from one moral position or another. But consult whatever historical moral/ethical authority you value- The Bible, Neitzsche, Aristotle, Kant, Rawls, Maimonedes, Sartre, it doesn't matter. I've read them all, and while they disagree about many things, one thing they DO agree on is that if you are doing something that you would condemn as a hideous evil if you saw somebody else doing it, that is a problem.

I think the real nastiness of the SJW isn't that they believe weird things about women and white people. I think the real nastiness is that their ideology is so morally bankrupt that they see no problem with subverting other people's cultures, traditions, and values...as long as they are the ones doing it.

It's not that they do this that should scare you, it's that they see nothing wrong with it.
