Chicken is known for joining lobbies through abusing a glitch/bug/exploit that allows you to join a players lobby even though you're not their friend (I believe it is through steam groups)

If memory serves, it's doable because lobby IDs increment by 1 each time a new lobby is created, and there's a steam command to join a lobby by ID.

So what happens, is as soon as you see someone create a lobby, create one of your own, note your ID, then use the steam command to join that ID minus 1, which will join you into the lobby created before yours, then join -2, then -3 and keep going until you find the lobby you were looking for.

The join method seems to override all privacy settings (so you'll get into private / friends only lobbies). If you search the steam community for 'chiken' you'll find there are hundreds of identical accounts, which are all doing this.

This is true, however very inefficient to do. I once experimented with this and found out that lobbies were created at a speed of 50-100 lobbies a second. Meaning it's very time-consuming to go backwards one number at a time.

      I think you've made this up. The lobbies are hidden behind private IPs and other tricks Valve network engineers have figured out.

      It's more likely to be someone pranking them from Valve.

        You create a lobby, then get the id. Manipulate your lobby number and then join another lobby with a similar number.

        How to target specific lobbies is a bit more advanced.
