I've been planning my Agora purchase for over a month. Setting up special accounts, vpn, a linux system and encryption. Bought bitcoins off same random guy today for cash, finally locked and ready for a full-proof anonymous transaction. You are a buyer you don't need to tumble your coins nor have special accounts, linux system nor encryption (except for PGP and tails if you're LE anal). You can buy bitcoins instantly online which is perfectly legal and buy something on Agora. Easy.

Calm down guys, probably maintenance by agora. It says "file not found" so they probably switched off the servers for something.

I was around when SR1 was taken down and the morning that happened the site was working then it stopped working for about 30 minutes and then all of a sudden a pic saying "this domain has been seized blah blah blah" with the pics of the LE logos popped up... I remember 'cause I put in an order for 2 zips for $530 at 5 am that morning and it was all lost by 10. My heart still aches for those $530.

Plus, why would LE take down the site at night, and not during business hours? If agora is to be taken down it will happen in the AM.

Yup, it should be there. Last time it went down everyone's money was in their accounts as soon as they logged back in.

But there's one important thing that I think I should add: your wallet address on agora is actually in posession of agora. When you send money to that wallet, you're actually sending money to a wallet that is completely controlled by agora. The money that appears to be in your Agora account while you're on Agora is merely just a "wallet statement" that says this is how much money Agora credited you with.

I just thought to add that because sometimes the money disappears from that wallet address on the blockchain but you would still have money in your Agora account, etc.

    This happened to me last week when it went down on friday. I got my coin and bam it was down and down for awhile.. I was like SHIT SHIT SHIT!!!!     Just curious... if this happens so often, and is so alarming to so many people, especially considering the number of government take downs and exit scams, why can't an admin from Agora simply take five minutes to post a reassuring message? Even better, with a brief explanation along with an estimated down time? But hell, even "Dow for maintenance" would be cool. So easy, so simple, little effort, no cost, in exchange for substantial increase in their vendor's and customer's sense of security, confidence, and good will, not to mention patience and understanding.     Sure if Agora did a runner with our money it would be a short term gain. There would be plenty of coin in the collective wallet. But they are not stupid. They are in this market for the long haul which means they can make much, much more by continuing to run this site the way they have been.
