I think the linked post explains itself. It's your average wehraboo mindset, Dresden, East Prussia, SS, etc ...

Unlike the French (And other western European countries that were occupied by the Nazis), the eastern front was hell, when the Germans came in, they burned and killed and pillaged and raped.

Ah yes, the Western front had it easy. I think this person has never heard of the millions of POWS from the West which were forced to work in the German war industry, being kept as semi-slaves for nearly 5 years and dying anywhere between the Crimea and the Rhine. Should we also forget the massacres of Oradour-Sur-Glane where the Nazis literally shot up an entire French village for little reason? It's true that the Western front may not have been as "hardcore" as the Ostfront, but it wasn't a cake walk either.

In comparison to the Soviets, the Wehrmacht punished raping very hard and it's just not true that German soldiers killed or raped civilians more than any other country in war. Maybe even less because of the strict orders by their leaders. Soviet soldiers were widely known for raping in Eastern Germany on the other hand, just as black frenchmen in Western Germany.

I believe a good response to this would be "ayy lmao", but that wouldn't suffice would it? Ignoring the poor grammar, it seems that this wehraboo tries to whitewash the whole "Murdering 10+ million Soviet civilians" with rape. Again, it doesn't add up, the Nazis were notorious for their use of local women in brothels on the eastern front, something I would call rape. It is true that the soviets raped, quite a lot indeed, but on an equal or inferior level than the Wehrmacht. As for the African Frenchmen, are you sure the women weren't just attracted to those Zouaves?

The history is written by the victors. I don't want to say German soldiers never commited any crimes, but Germany's history in the time between 1914-1945 is not portrayed correct. The US and UK committed many crimes bombing German cities (e.g. Dresden), the Soviet soldiers didn't took SS soldiers as prisoners, but murdered them instantly etc.

Damn Victor, messing up our history books. It's not like NATO needed those "ex"-Nazis who fought on the Eastern Front to teach them about the Soviet way of war, allowing the Germans to taint Western records until the fall of the USSR. Dresden makes an appearance again, it's not like the Germans bombed Allied cities such as London, Stalingrad, or Leningrad. Mr.VikingGER also mentions the Red Army not taking any SS prisoners. Sounds a lot like the whole "DO NICHT TAKE COMMISARS ALIVE!!1" order that Hitler signed early on during Barbarossa and pretty much applied to every Soviet Soldier, doesn't it? Or the whole "let's wipe out the Slavs and take their land" that Mein Kampf mentions?

All in all, the thread was actually pretty calm on the whole Wehraboo thing. Mostly just Russian jokes about Vodka, which seems to have been the #2 favorite pass time in the USSR, right after opressing Germans.
