I miss the days when the ne'er-do-wells on Capitol Hill were junkies instead of pumped up drunk bros milling about in the hundreds on hot summer nights being testosterone and booze fueled dicks. This is my last summer on Capitol Hill. I spent a lifetime dreaming of living in this town and planning my happily ever after and the last nine years have just sucked balls here. I'm taking what money that hasn't been sucked up by my multiple rent increases the last three years and getting the hell out of here in September.

Almost all of the gun violence on the hill for the last couple years has been the Somali gang that has declared it their turf. It's not 'drunk bros', whatever that is supposed to mean. There's a very specific group that is involved in nearly every single one of these incidents.

Hey, if you can find me one instance of a group of educated, fully employed men in their 20's that have riddled a party or nightclub with bullets in the name of their "turf", I'd consider taking your point. Until then, I will continue to presume it was gangsters.

Why did you stay on Capitol Hill for so long if it was that awful? There's a lot of other great neighborhoods.
