The dynasty system in CK2 is essentially the core of the experience. It was built up at the expense of other systems that weren't as relevant to that period. CK2 has very simplified tech progression, no colonization, simplified economy, and other elements that aren't as fleshed out because they weren't as important to that era as dynasty politics. EU4 has colonization and exploration, technical progression, all cultures and government types have been playable from the start, it has more involved trade, dynastic stuff isn't as relevant to that period, so paradox folded the dynastic system into government and diplomacy and focused on other stuff. Stellaris will have complex tech progression, exploration and colonization, randomized galaxies and races, and other systems that are more relevant to a space game. Even a dumbed down version of the Ck2 system would be beyond the scope of development and isn't a reasonable expectation, especially considering it only apply to certain governments and probably just wouldn't really work considering the period and scope. I mean think about an alien might not have any conception of marriage or family, or just not one that conforms to a system like in CK2. For the record, there will be characters in the game, specifically it talked about scientists with different traits that would effect your tech progression and I imagine there will be other characters like generals and faction leaders.

I don't think people were being as severe as you seem to think. Reread the comment replies, they are pretty tame, especially by internet standards, the first was just saying not everyone has your opinion, the second was rather lighting making fun of you. Now, if you have been getting a bunch hate mail in your inbox that's a different thing, but you did call a popular game on this subreddit boring with very little explanation and what little you gave came off as "It doesn't have fleshed out character system and thus is boring". I realize you might have been joking a bit, but that doesn't translate through text. Also throwing around rape just sounds immature.
