But why?

Just imagine all that went into this. Thought, planning, design, purchasing of materials, sitting down and stitching latex and fur and meat all together, filling it with marbles and milk, painting, building the set, setting up the camera and the lighting, then painstakingly, weeks, maybe months, working on the slow and arduous task of stop motion animating each and every movement, down to the eyes and dog snot, then editing all those shots together into a video, scoring the music, planning whatever release it gets, promotion, etc. But before all that, before putting all that time and effort into this, before planning out months of time dedicated to this, you had to sit down and consider the entire project, picture what you see before you, and think, "Yes. Worth it."

The SOURCE. Its a 3 minute long video starring a woman, a dog, a naked guy and baby.

A quote from Paul K in the youtube comments:

More proof that stop motion animation can be a very unsettling art form. Great video. It comes off to me as a way to make primates feel gross about all of their basic daily functions. Eating, pettin' dogs, having babies. Anyone who finds this gross should take a look at themselves and realize we're looking in the mirror.

Congrats on sounding profound, Paul, but the video is gross because the puppets are gross; not because of some kind of shame about our bodies.

In a news release posted on social media, local Black Lives Matter activists said they were holding Sanders and other white progressives accountable for failing to support their movement.

Citing the anniversary of Brown’s death, they said, “We honor black lives by doing the unthinkable, the unapologetic, and the unrespectable.”

I was gonna honour my grandparents this week by beating a homeless man to death, that's unthinkable, I'd be unapologetic, and literally NO-ONE would respect me for it. This is a great idea! Why don't we honour the dead in this backwards-ass fashion more often!?

Edit: Obligatory /s

Edit2: This wouldn't be my first pick for my top comment, but thanks for the support!

Edit 3: thank goodness I put in that /s, some of these comments are quite spicy!

Nice one. I'll honour India's independence this week and decapitate a few puppies at the local primary school!

holding Sanders and other white progressives accountable for failing to support their movement.

Obviously they saw an old, white man and not who he actually is. We have a word for that....oh yeah, fucking racist.

Nevermind that Michael Brown is literally the worst possible example they could have chosen. There are plenty of examples of black men who have been victims of unjust police violence, and they had to choose the one guy famous for being killed in a completely justified police shooting.

Eric Gardner for days. Prime example of police brutality without provocation, yet he is constantly forgotten.

Edit and clarification: I am aware that Gardner resisted arrest. My point was that in this particular case the police response was extremely disproportionate to his actions. I probably could have worded it much much better.

Or that guy who was shot literally for reaching for his wallet after the police officer asked him for ID. It's so absurd it seems like something out of a comedy sketch, except it's real.

Source: http://www.salon.com/2014/09/26/watch_a_cop_shoot_a_black_man_for_reaching_for_his_drivers_license/

I believe that officer was immediately put on suspension without pay and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggregated nature, he faces 20 years in prison.

http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/trial-verdict-extended-ex-south-carolina-cop

But it says that the cop that did that was fired and is facing 20 years.

[–]Waiguo 7

Yea, but that cop was charged and fired, right? Can't use that one.

That is the guy that folks both on the left and the right were outraged over. When you unite the Daily KOS and the National Review because of something bad you did, you know you completely and utterly fucked up. Completely senseless killing.

No one can possibly be that dumb, right? There is no context in which those words mean something someone wants to be.

This has to be someone getting paid to disrupt Sanders or discredit Black Lives Matter, or both.

No one can possibly be that dumb, right?

You should get out more. Many people are that dumb.

See the thing that no one wants to talk about is that racism wouldn't even be a problem in the first place if James Blunt would've just kept his music to himself...

As a white male I make a great living becoming outraged, and subsequently collecting and selling my tears. They're in high demand these days. It's not extravagant but it's an honest living.

She had that mug because of a popular Feminist mug that said "Male Tears". It was not intended to be a response to the girl on the left, but because the "White Tears" shirt is a slight adaptation of the "Male Tears" mugs, the girl on the right's joke mug has become loosely relevant again.

Ok, Bojack! We get it.

But did you get it? Because I feel you didn't get it.

What the fuck? Why do people these days insist that tearing down others is the only way to further their own cause? Turning everything into a race/gender/etc. issue won't fix the problem at hand and just creates a rockier road towards finding a solution. Even in this case where it is by definition a race issue, blaming other races creates divides between those who should be helping one another and does not even address what's really wrong.

[–]Never_to_speak_again 204ポイント205ポイント  (17子コメント)

"Male tears" mugs are the feminist equivalent of 13-year-old CoD kiddie edgelords

Causes built on hate end up that way pretty much every time.

Hate's what works, so it amplifies... if you're not full of hate, you obviously don't care as much as I do and/or you're against us.

Some people just feed on that. They enjoy hate, and feeling justified in it.

As a great poet once said "Haters gunna hate."

I'm sure that the mug was in response to the feminist mug, but it does seem ironic that it still seems even more relevant despite the change in what it is in response to.

What's blocktheboat?

https://localwiki.org/oakland/Block_the_Boat_Protest

Block the Boat is an Oakland protest of the occupation of Gaza that started on Sat. 2014-08-16 and continues on to 2014-08-19. Activists are trying to block an Israeli container ship from unloading in the Port of Oakland. They have successfully blocked it thus far and are trying again today (08/19).

As far as I can tell, it was an attempt by multiple parties to block the unloading of shipping boats from Israel. Why? Who can fucking tell.

soooo...she's Palestinian? Another Rachel Dolzeal like story just months apart?

suggests she is in fact, a political operative of some sort, doesn't it?

A simpler explanation would be that she just enjoys that stuff. It doesn't seem unlikely that someone "fighting" this strongly (cough) for civil rights / race issues would also have a strong opinion on Israel/Palestine.

Put another way: I wouldn't be surprised if there's a group of people who make up the core of many protests, who essentially do that as a hobby, once a month or more. Which isn't even a bad thing, in general.
