I still haven't heard an explanation of why they chose to protest Sanders.

Was it literally just because he was a white guy with a microphone?

Probably, yeah. Anyone who knows anything about Sanders would know he's pro BLM and was super active in the civil rights movement. He's probably the least racist candidate right now.

He was even siding with MLK I think, and went to jail for that (my mind's not really clear atm)

He was arrested for speaking against segregation.

come on now.... jeez, how much of an ignorant fuck you have to be to do that kind of thing.

Here's a comment I wrote on FB about him:

bernie sanders is one of two sitting US senators who actually attended MLK's "I Have A Dream" speech in person. when he did he was an organizer for the SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee), one of the most important civil rights groups of the 1960s, they were often referred to as the shock troops of the civil rights movement. The SNCC literally invented sit-ins. Sanders has a 100% rating by the HRC, meaning he has always voted in favor of gay rights, and a 93% and 97% by the ACLU and NAACP respectively, meaning he is very pro-civil rights and very pro-affirmative action (again, respectively). he is endorsed by the Feminist Majority as well. these specific protesters do have a right to a voice, but I don't personally believe they deserve it because they're shutting down a man who has been fighting for their rights since before they were born. these women are the ones who should "shut up and listen" to Sen. Sanders because they could probably learn a thing or two about how to fight for civil rights in this country.

Sorry about the capitalization and stuff Reddit pls dont crucify me.

How'd that 'mansplaining' go over?

Seemed pretty well written and very informed. Probably won't go over well then.

They're mocking the "he was actually there for MLK's speech" by posting this image. She retweeted it.

He even has 100% NAACP over the last years I think too

He organized sit in protests to stop segregated campus housing. It's really disappointing to see them targeting him.

The BLM attracts extremists and racists from what I've seen. The People who are actively helping the Black community are working, educating, and volunteering. I feel bad every time we hear a racist idiot bring up MLK, like that is what he wanted.

"Least racist"? That seems like a weird way to put it

the least racist candidate

that's like saying all of them are racist but this guy is less racist than the others... I mean that guy is speaking and standing up for black people and you still have the nerve to call him a racist...

step up your education game, man.

I'm not calling him racist. Least can be 0.

I can only think they choose to do so thinking they'd be quickly cut off and could cry oppression later on, but when given the podium they lost in a sense and just started rambling.

I am pretty sure someone paid them to do it. It was too out of the blue and really poorly done for me to feel otherwise about it.

It's just kind of amusing that Bernie is so solid with his track record and his opinions on issues that this was all they could muster up.

Opponents could of payed to have this staged.

Because someone paid them to, probably.

There was a microphone right there and a crowd assembled. Ready made soapbox, no assembly required. I mean, they could have done some legwork and organized a protest of their own, but that would take, you know, effort.

The real reason is because the "Black Lives Matter" Movement is receiving major funding from Hilary to go & protest his entire campaign to try & make him lose the black vote.

This has happened to him in many cities now.

Source?

Billionaire George Soros is a huge supporter of Hillary and the BLM movement. Still only a conspiracy.

[–]the_cheese_was_good 4ポイント5ポイント  (0子コメント)

Had to Google the man because I had no idea who he was (I don't really follow politics or those who fund campaigns).

This is the first article that came up. I have no idea how - if at all - legit that blog is, but it's interesting info, nonetheless.

Basically says the the entire #BlackLivesMatter thing is designed and funded to thwart Clinton's opponents. At least that's how I read it - take from it what you will, and probably with a grain of salt as well.

Edit: I'm getting this vibe, for sure.

We constantly hear about republican billionares making the rightwing politicians do their bidding. But on the left we have George Soros who is funding the BLM movements with heavy amounts of money.

Soros wants an establishment democrat in the white house to do his bidding. A guy like bernie won't stand for any of that. You can bet your ass he's gonna be shoveling millions if not billions into this election. If he can make Bernie look bad, it makes everything easier for hillary.

Man, fuck George Soros.

Don't just say shit like that without backing it up at all.

What I'm supposed about is how close they were allowed to get to a presidential candidate

There is no reason why they have a problem with Sanders. It honestly makes more sense that they are paid and bought for by groups that want to destabilize the movement Sanders is helping create before it gains steam. This is just cointelpro.

I remember someone saying it was because of the inaction Sanders has taken in the BLM movement. He claimed to back them up, but has since never announced how he'll make that change, something like that? I can't remember where I read it.

No idea that they shit on one of their biggest supporters.

The only thing those girls support is attention for themselves.

pretty much. or they're being paid. I wouldn't be surprised either way.

I don't think you can fake that kind of narcissism. I absolutely believe they did this all by themselves.

You'd be surprised what can be faked.

After watching House of Cards, I feel like anything is plausible.

Right. After watching the X-Files I became certain that Flukemen are real.

I'm surprised by what can be done without a trace of irony or self-awareness. Even surprise myself looking in retrospect at stupid things I did. Not saying conspiracies don't exist, but half the time people being dipshits has all the explanatory power I need, and this is a case in point.

you can fake anything. politics is a nasty game.

surprised that the security was so light that they were able to jump up

Bernie told security to let them talk. He genuinely wanted to hear what they had to say

I think this may be organized by the hillary campaign. My friends that go to black lives matters protests all like Bernie. I don't buy this.

Donald Trump is a Clinton plant if anything

Seriously, as an aside, he's blackmailing the entire Republican Party. "Nominate me and watch me lose to ____ in the general election, or I run as an independent and guarantee you lose again anyway."

wow different people may have different opinions, thats weird

in this case it is weird - Sanders has been an advocate for equal rights since MLK days. Not that it's organized by Hilary - but something is definitely fishy

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

Not really. Niggas be ignorant as fuck, they saw an old ass white dude and didn't stop to read into his politics before they automatically assumed he was another classic old white man without any care for the black community.

What's fishy? These idiots saw a old white man in power and wanted to get some attention and frankly it worked.

Some people might have an immediate dismissive reaction to the idea of Hillary organizing this, but this is a major political campaign with BILLIONS of dollars on the line. The corporatocracy has so much to gain, and even more to lose if an authentic populist gets into the White House.

Another fact: George Soros, one of Hillary's largest liberal donors has put millions ($33 million, to be exact) to support the BLM movement. With that much money injected, it would be naive to think that there hasn't been an aspect of quid pro quo going on.

So you're saying rich guy George Soros wants Hillary to win for some reason, so he gives Hillary money, and to help her win the black vote, he funds Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi to get the Black Lives Matter supporters to support Hillary?

Cause if so, goddamn, that would be a stupid move for such a rich guy. Wouldn't he have been better off donating to someone like the NAACP or Al Sharpton or one of those groups? Not saying that wouldn't be morally wrong, but it would make more sense at least.

But Hilary is a corporcrat who is running for president. He gives the money to her and also donates to BLM in order to buy support from them for her as well.

Or by the GOP.

It seems like they rather run against Bernie than Hillary.

The GOP would love to run against Bernie.

He's got "socialist" written all over him. It'd be a slaughter. Nursing homes emptying out as far as the eye could see

Damn, you think he'd kill all the old people?

Lmao. Soylent green is people

that fucking movie upset me. not because soylent green is people, but because i was waiting the whole damn movie for him to say it, and it's literally the last line of the film. fuck soylent green.

When it's self-described, it's not really a shame label anymore.

I wonder if the socialist atheist Jew would get more voters out than the socialist communist fascist atheist Muslim born in Kenya.

The Limbaugh right has used up all its harshest words. An actual revolutionary socialist or communist (not social democrat Bernie Sanders) could be running and they'd be unable to describe her with any words harsher than they've used against mainstream capitalist Obama. Everyone would just be like "Yeah, yeah, heard it before." What could they say, "We were lying last time, THIS one is the real deal"?

Except he's the biggest supporter of old people in the running. Some of his biggest priorities are strengthening Medicare and social security.

Or some fucking idiot.

Occam's Razor. Wait, Hanlon's.

The GOP are all busy trying to make Donald Trump look worse than themselves, they have no time for the Democrats right now.

I have a very good friend who's a lifelong republican - he's appalled by those 10 "front runners". I told him if he keeps supporting the GOP, that's all he'll get. We've been going back & forth about this for 18 years, though. He is who he is.

So your handful of friends is representative of every black person in the country? You realize how stupid people are when it comes to politics? This is completely believable.

Not to mention, every story on this now advertises to a larger audience Bernie's history of support when it comes to black communities. Nobody hired those idiots. It's just a couple of immature half wits who got too worked up over a hashtag and didn't do their homework.

goddamn that was a hostile reaction to "I have evidence that not all their supporters are against Bernie, therefore I am skeptical"

So then do you believe that those few people who protested against Bernie are representative of the entire BLM campaign? This logic can go either way.

sure they do, that is how getting bought works. they have no real argument, nor will you hear anything that isn't deliberate confusion.

[–]Rhamuk 3

They probally got paid for that.

What is this from?

He had a rally in downtown Seattle and before he was able to say anything those two chicks bumrushed the stage and got on the mic and refused to let him talk, even though the Sanders people gave them everything they wanted, including talking about their movement and they wanted 4.5 minutes of silence for Michael Brown and Ferguson, which they got. Once they got what they wanted they refused to let Sanders talk, and the Sanders people declined to let the police get them off the stage. Oh and they called the white people in Seattle white supremacist racists. Fun times.

Enraging. They're hurting their own cause.

Yeah, it reeks of shady politics too. Sanders, who I am not a fan of but I respect his authenticity, would probably be their biggest supporter, but the BLM movement has gotten millions of dollars from George Soros (the left's equivalent of the Koch brothers) who is a huge Hilary Clinton supporter. As if Hilary Clinton gives two shits about the BLM movement.

How... How can anyone be against Bernie?

It's pretty simple. These girls were clearly uneducated racists so they had no idea they were stomping on the only candidate who actually supports BLM, not to mention the fact that he fucking MARCHED with MLK. He saw the I have a dream speech LIVE.

But why are some educated people against bernie? Because he's a socialist, and people just looooooooove throwing that word around like it's going to turn us into China. My ignorant republican father would vote for Hillary before he'd vote for Bernie, even though he's fully aware how evil she is. People are dumb. =[

It's almost as if not everyone has the same views or beliefs! Shocking!

I'm actually serious. I don't know what an average American can disagree with Sanders on.

It's just a conspiracy. More likely is that these were two nutballs that wanted attention. Apparently one of them posted a picture of themselves on Facebook wearing a "Sipping on white tears" T-shirt.

They don't even care about Mike Brown or the Black Lives Matter movement. They just want their 15 minutes.

That's weird that the police didn't intervene but I can see why you wouldn't do it, for a few reasons actually.

Well there's a difference between putting fire hoses on them and just not letting them on stage at all. If it were me I would have handed them a mic, tell them they get five minutes to speak then we're turning the microphone off, then I get to respond, and we can go back and forth unless you don't respect my time to speak in which case you will be escorted off the stage.

I think they did the perfect thing. They let them speak now everyone is outraged... everyone. If they would of removed them they would of been made pariah's and CNN/MSNBC would of sent their camera vans to their house to get their message on the air, you know because #BLM. Matter of fact I am willing to bet that they will have an interview by the end of the week and it will still be cringe worthy because they just want their 5 minutes of fame and dont care about the actual issue. They will ignore all of the pre-written dialogue by whichever news media interviews them and end up acting like fools on TV, can not wait!

Yeah but it makes him look weak. If you agree to let them talk and then respond you look in charge and Presidential. By debating with them he'd be letting them dig their own grave and show their ignorance even more.

But how do you debate or respond when they won't let you, and shout over you? The only way to not look "weak" is to get in a shouting match with them, and then you just look like an asshole instead.

This wasn't a full rally, this was just an event he was speaking at. He had a full-on rally with a much larger audience later that day, so not being able to speak here wasn't a huge loss. If anything it got more people talking about him and his campaign.

It wasn't actually a Bernie rally, it was a rally to celebrate the anniversary of social security and medicare. He was invited to speak as the final speaker.

The key is they were paid to interrupt the talk in the first place

Acting

You know, if they handed the mic back to Sanders after the 4 1/2 minutes of silence forced upon the crowd (who actually obliged fairly respectfully) then I wouldn't agree with you.

But they refused to let Bernie respond. And they forced him out. That was a hint to me that something more sinister is going on.

The good news is it seems that there has been a fairly unanimous response from the public that what these two did was counterproductive to their cause.

That was a hint to me that something more sinister is going on

this is what I meant, however I don't know how to edit my post to make that obvious and/or I'm lazy

Lol this will do much more good than harm for Sanders. He'll get good publicity, his progressive views on race will be highlighted, and he'll actually get mentioned in the media which is valuable for a fringe candidate. Unless you're suggesting Sanders paid them off, which from what I've heard of the man doesn't seem like his style

Yes, I mean that the goal was to smear his racial equality image, as evidenced in the video the women didn't even expect to make it as far as to hold the microphone let alone get any further. Hopefully whoever paid them off gets their money back because like you said this ended up helping Bernie more than hurting him.

Meh I just don't see it. The chance that something like this would actually hurt his campaign is miniscule, since if they hadn't gotten the mic it never would have been newsworthy. It'd be very hard to imagine a report on this that didn't at least mention Sanders's views on race, and like I said pretty much any publicity is a good thing for Sanders at this point. Plus the risk of these people blabbing about a payoff is just too high. Sometimes a duck is a duck and sometimes people just act silly

You're certainly right about the odds of it being a ruse but the idea would've been that they get up there try to grab the mic and get forcibly removed from the stage. Headlines would say something like equality candidate Bernie Sanders forcibly removes Black Lives Matters members at rally blah blah blah.

This rally would've been picked because often times candidates pre-screen the attendants of their rally's whereas this one Bernie was merely invited and his team wouldn't have been able to pre screen the attendants.

Of course like you said it's a conspiracy theory and unlikely.

Edit: Also I forgot about the money/silence thing, Israel fucking strafed a US AGI and there was still a blackout for the family members. Crazy shit happens everyday bruh

Can you imagine of this was two angry-lookin black dudes, instead? I don't think it would've gone the same.

A rally in Seattle where Bernie Sanders was invited to speak and two #BLM protestors pushed him out of the way to criticize Bernie and the entire crowd for not doing enough to stop racism and to have a moment of silence for Mike Brown.

It was an extremely sarcastic yay, for the record

You mistyped: She is getting paid good money to run for candidacy

Edit: downvotethetruth.com

Gosh I hope not. I'll take Bernie or Trump over Hillary. At this point I just want something to be done. Both aforementioned men will do something. Hillary will be yet another puppet like every other career politician. I know Bernie is also a career politician, but from what I know I don't think he can be bought which is exactly why he's gaining traction. Maybe I should just shut up though because I really have no interest in politics so my opinion doesn't matter. Take it with one or 20 grains of salt.

Even if I would have told my mom how much i hated someone, she would have driven a cross town to whip me on live TV if I would do such things on TV.

Animals like these who escalate, yell, and don't let people finish because there is only one way they want this to end are a disgrace.

And were the fuck was security in this place? Tell me these X jersey clowns aren't what they use for sporting events or when any one important comes to town.

If they got security to forcibly remove them, the headlines would be "Bernie Sanders silences #BlackLivesMatter activists". He did the best thing in a bad situation and let them speak. They showed how truly ignorant they were.

From mypoint of view, They came in screaming, and butting in from every angle to disrupt his speach. NO ONE deserves what they want by going this way. Just send a letter like everyone else asking nicely or set your own rally by handing out flyers in the crowd.

I really hope they have to respond to their parents after this because they are horrible adults for what they did.

They never actually had anything intelligent to say. These people aren't modern MLK's. They scream and cry and yell pointlessly; it's self-serving nonsense. It's better for the world to see how stupid they are and get it over with. I just feel bad for people involved in their organization who actually are trying to establish equality because these women just completely tarnished their reputation.

Given this event had a joke for security, you're right. But if there was any type of decent security I would definitely have them removed and told everyone to send me an e-mail and ask politely if they want to have a part of my supporter's attention so they can say something.

[–]leedle_leedle_lee123 6ポイント7ポイント  (2子コメント)

There were police officers there, Bernies campaign told them to let them do what they want.

Animals though? They're just protesting for a cause. Could they have picked a better/worse candidate? Absolutely. They aren't animals, chill.

It's a huge lack of respect. Screaming like that to not have to reason with people? Just jumping in line to take over a crowd that wasn't there to them?

And to top it off, when they do get the mic, they take a lot of time and. Order people to a moment of silence(remember, no one made the trip to be forced to pay respects) and when that man reminds them that they did get their time but they are abusing it. They turn around and threaten an other tamper tantrum.

I can't respect that and can't be paid enough to do this to people I don't respect.

Only time will tell what was the point if this but there are next to no reason to lower themselves to animals fighting for a microphone.

They just want more white people to speak up in support of their movement and protest with them. But they also don't want white people to speak for them or drown out their voice or be photographed with them:

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/canadian-pro-ferguson-rally-organizers-ask-whites-to-stay-in-background/article21781408/

If you're trying to get white people on your side then why call every white person in the crowd racist? And how does it help you to bum rush Bernie Sanders, a man who was getting arrested at civil rights marches before those idiots where even born.

Dave Chapelle needs another Race Draft skit because Bernie is going to be requesting a trade back to the whites.

Where's the security typically provided to presidential candidates?

They could have removed those girls easily, but the black lash wouldn't have been worth it. He gave them EXACTLY what they wanted, and they still refused to let him speak, whilst calling the entire crowd white supremacists.

They weren't there to accomplish anything but disruption of the event and to be the center of attention. Which, sadly, is working.

What a bunch of morons. Protesting for the sake of protesting?? Obviously they have no idea who or what Sanders stands for.

Was this event recorded? I would love to watch this.

Wow, I don't think I've ever been more enraged by something that doesn't involve me in my life. wew

That nigga is giving them what they want and they still yelling at him. Acting like he wasn't. The bitch on the right was the worst. Perfect example of how ignorant people don't listen.

Embarrassing for Seattle.

I hate to say this but... I can only imagine angry women being able to do this.. regardless of race. Just replace the two angry black men, or angry white men and the whole image and conversation changes.

Say something edgy, blame political correctness for the backlash, and threaten to sue somebody.

Why aren't they bugging republicans?

Its propaganda. They had to be placed there. Who are these two dumb females?

Dumb as hell and most likely undereducated as fuck. This shit almost makes me mad, but I don't have time to get mad nowadays. It's to hot outside.

Hey any publicity is good publicity for Bernie though, right? It's a shitty way to get his name further out there, but at least people are going to know who he is. Hopefully those who become aware of him aren't blinded by these idiots pretending to know what they're talking about

Those fucking dickheads.

Billionaire George Soros, a Hilary Clinton supporter, has given millions of dollars funding to the BlackLivesMatter movement, while that movement continues to disrupt rallies of Clinton's main contender, Bernie Sanders. Sen. Sanders has vocally opposed financial influence in politics for decades.

Rachel Dolezal did more for black people than these two.

They really not have security up there to stop those chicks? I'd have fucking flying cross bodied at least one of them.

Hillary is behind this. Watch. Will be awesome when it comes out. Finally more drama than whatever trump says in this thing.
