Here's the thing, far too many of them aren't your peers. They are not the ones who were bullied, they were the bullies, and what they seek is not a safe space from bullying, but to continue bullying.

Now, you found refuge among games. You found a place you could hide from your bullies (I'm assuming from your post). How do you think your bullies would have reacted if they found a way to reach you even there? To ensure that you had no escapism, no way to avoid them, but had to be under their thumb 24/7? Because that's their goal.

Gaming was built by the outcasts and the maligned, and goddamn did we build it. It's a fucking major industry because of us, and now the bullies want in. Now it's cool, now it's hip, and that means that everything we built is no longer acceptable. "Gaming has to change", "Gaming has to grow up", "Gaming is sick and we are the cure", that is what they say about escapism. That is what they say about the subculture we built ourselves, because we weren't wanted elsewhere.

We were thrown out, but we didn't take the punishment lying down. We didn't demand "safespaces", we built safespaces. We made our safespace a multi-billion industry. And it is those safespaces they want to tear down.

While I also emphasize with those among the SJWs who are that way because they felt like they didn't belong anywhere else, I want to make one thing very clear. AntiGG does not support the bullied. Remember two quotes, and remember them well, because they form a fundamental core of what GG is about:

"Ultimately #GamerGate is reaffirming what we’ve known to be true for decades: nerds should be constantly shamed and degraded into submission" and "Bring back bullying".

That is the face of AntiGG. AntiGG is an effort to take away the safe space nerds built. That is why we need to fight. That is why for as much as I want rational discourse and peaceful resolution, Sam Biddle is a fucking cancerous growth. For as much I emphasize with a desire for everyone to just get along, I will celebrate the day Sam Biddle dies unmourned and unloved to drug overdose because he became a junkie to escape his homelessness.

It is human to have flaws, and one flaw on my part I'm both willing to admit and accept, is that I will be giddy with joy should Sam Biddle life fall into the utmost of tatters. Because he deserves it. AntiGG is not fellow bullied who want to progress beyond it and create a world without it, they are bullied who never got over the power rush they got from bullying, or bullied who want to join the cool kids and become the bullies now.

Fuck them, fuck them long and fuck them hard, because GG is here, and it's here's to throw them out of gaming, and if being thrown out of indie games and journalism ruins their life because they've lost their jobs, well that's just a bonus.

Just to add on to this.

A lot of the lack of knowing about this issue stems from a fundamental limitation on what we think bullying is. When we think of bullying, we traditionally think of the Nelson Muntz type character, you know, the person who takes out their frustrations of their own problems on other people.

That's not the only type of bullying however.

What we're learning to look more for these days is what is called social bullying. And that's a completely different animal altogether. First of all, it's generally done by a group or even a community. And the people who do it tend to be personally well off. They're happy and successful, for the most part. So why do they do it?

They're enforcing social/cultural norms. They're taking people that for one reason or another are violating those norms, and they're using social pressure in order to get them to step back in line. That's what social bullying is. And yes, kids KILL themselves because of it. When you see that happen in one of these cases, I will guarantee you it's not individual bullying it's social bullying. If it's individual bullying, you go to the administration, the bully might get suspended or expelled, as generally the victim has more social power than the perpetrator.

But in social bullying...

Yes, the perpetrators have MUCH more social power than the victim. So nothing really can be done...in fact what often happens is that the administration is part of the problem, part of the bullying.

Now many of you probably have figured it out...SJW culture relies on social bullying. It's about using social pressure/violence in order to enforce what they see as social/cultural norms, or at least what should be the norms.

So yeah. It's the same thing, just a different flavor.

These idiots really fucked up the day they decided to come after us, one of the most inclusive and dedicated communities you could find. I can walk into any EB games and feel at home because of how great us gamers are, I spent half an hour once in EB with just some complete stranger discussing Pokémon teams.
