"Your Java Version is Outdated"...

Hi!

I have a problem, that often encounters when I open a page, looking like this:

I am unable to just close the pop-up window, without going to a new homepage. When I go there, the browser automatically starts a download, which I stop instantly, since this seems wrong to me.

I have been scanning my computer a couple of times with different types of anti-virus programs, with no luck.

Does anyone have an idea what to try next? It is very annoying.

If you still have trouble report back and others will tell you what to do.

Seems like a malware pop-up...

• Flush DNS
• Report IE Proxy Settings
• Reset IE Proxy Settings
• Report FF Proxy Settings
• Reset FF Proxy Settings
• List content of Hosts
• List IP configuration
• List Winsock Entries
• List last 10 Event Viewer log
• List Installed Programs
• List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
• Click Go and post the result (Result.txt). A copy of Result.txt will be saved in the same directory the tool is run.
  Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.

Which parts of the Result file would you need to look at?

I don't know if it is worth mentioning, but firstly, I am using Google Chrome, which I updated less than two hours ago.

Also, so far I have only gotten the pop-up on http://www.virtualmanager.com/, but I am using this website a lot and have never had this issue before (until like 14 days ago).

Btw the frequency of the error is significantly reduced, but does still pop-up. 

• Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Version 8 and save it to your desktop.
• Under "Java Platform, Standard Edition"...click the "Download JRE" button to the right.
• Read the License Agreement, and then check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
• From the list, select (click on) the download link for your operating system (Windows x86 Offline: jre-8u25-windows-i586.exe or Windows x64: jre-8u25-windows-x64.exe) and save the file to your desktop.
• Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
• Go to > Control Panel, double-click on Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features in Vista/Windows 7/8 and remove all older versions of Java.
• Check (highlight) any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
• Click the Remove or Change/Remove button and follow the onscreen instructions for the Java uninstaller.
• Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java version.
• Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
• Then from your desktop double-click on jre-8u25-windows-i586.exe (or jre-8u25-windows-x64.exe for 64-bit) to install the newest version.
• If using Windows 7/8 or Vista and the installer refuses to launch due to insufficient user permissions, then Run As Administrator.
• When the Java Setup - Welcome window opens, click the Install > button.
• If offered any unwanted software or toolbars during installation, just uncheck the box before continuing unless you want it. The McAfee Security Scan Plus may be installed unless you uncheck the McAfee installation box when updating Java.

• Go to Start > Control Panel > Java > Advanced > Miscellaneous and uncheck the box for Java Quick Starter.
• Click Ok and reboot your computer.

So, I tried the update you suggested and I followed every step very carefully, but I still get the error. The frequency of the pop-up has been significantly reduced, but it is still there.

Any other ideas?
