Hahahah, yeah, forts are killing fields.

I love the odds when I´m playing as a nomad faction. Nothing like attacking a village with three horse archer units, get Rome 2 to tell you it´s basically impossible and then win with less than 10 casualties :D

Dang. The amount of men you captured is the size of a small army. Did you execute them?

I did. As a rule I only enslave captives if it's a small amount. My first playthrough I enslaved something like 300 captives and it tanked my public order in Provincia permanently, even after having a slave market.

I execute them no matter what. Habit I got from playing the original Rome. Especially when taking towns in Africa. They always loved revolting.

Can anyone confirm if releasing captives makes them respawn in the enemys army? This was super annoying in M2TW (especially in SS where you would take much bigger casualties than in vanilla) when you had to release them for chivalry and then the army would just return, and basically be the same size as your victorious army.

It does nothing iirc, free just makes the enemy like you more kill makes them hate you.
