So porn is not the sole cause of me or anybody else's being sexually neurotic, but having watched porn before I'd experienced sex for myself completely warped my view of the thing(:40). After years of sex hang-ups and unfulfilling sex, I realized porn had butchered my self-image, rewired my arousal system to where I was disconnected from the act of sex in general(1:12), stunned, numbed, and weakened my psyche and emotions(1:57), gave me another reason to justify why dating and relationships were a waste of time and energy, prone to fail anyway.We stop realizing how alone we really are behind the illusion or fantasy of porn(2:25), and become comfortably disconnected from close relationships. 24 million people in America alone admit to being sexually addictive, specifically to pornography. It's a 12 billion dollar industry, 37% of the content on the internet and these numbers are escalating. It's one of the most privately normalized things, and the least talked about. But porn can be a trap.
