Can we call these what they are? Reddit Ghettos.

They're going to round up all the undesirable subreddits, put them in ghettos, then starve them by denying them fresh users, votes, and opinions via /r/all.

Also, I'll bet my next paycheck that the mods in the defaults are going to institute deletions and bans if you link to any of the verboten subreddits, further deepening the rift between admin-approved opinions and the forbidden thoughts. It'll get so bad that there'll need to be separate channels just to discuss the people in the ghettos. Established users will chill their own speech, and fear setting foot in the ghettoized subreddits, as they know the SJW bots will hunt them down and mark them for automoderator persecution.

I guess a few yellow badges will get given out as well

Pretty easy to bet on something that's been happening for a while now.

It's impossible to ban people for mentioning quarantined subreddits before those subreddits have actually been quarantined. They only started doing this today.

You don't think some subreddit's mods already had their bots banning links to certain communities?

The list that SRS bans you for discussing is surely different than /r/news, which is different than TIL, and so on.

I'm saying that the admins are creating a canonical list and that it highly encourages mods to make these the subreddits that shall not be named. My bet is that this list is going to be used for moderator deletions/bans.

Comment history?

There WERE no quarantined subreddits before today. It was just whatever the mods of that subreddit wanted to make AutoModerator ban you far. Now there's a canonical list that, I'm saying, will surely be used by mods for deletions/bans.

Automoderator cannot ban users; it can only remove comments. You'd need a custom bot to ban users.

(It can be used to notify the subreddit's mods via modmail and then have them ban it, though.)

You mean the Mr Rogers bot? https://slimgur.com/image/09j

I find it hilarious that you people keep linking to a "leaked" image of a publicly available post. https://www.reddit.com/r/modclub/comments/3edf8s/we_need_your_help_introducing_umrrogersbot_a/

[–]Pokechu22 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

It makes it appear more slimy / secretive than it is. (I am able to see /r/modtalk too; technichally the post that they leaked is private, since it's /r/modtalk, but there's a public version...). All the info about the bot is public, and if they actually would read the post they'd see what it is.

[–]Pokechu22 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

No, that bot also doesn't ban users directly. It, as well, only removes comments (or reports them).
