There's no universe where will Smith is a better rapper than black thought, and I'm not a backpacker like all these other idiots. I love drake. Record sales absolutely matter, but to say they are the only metric that matters is dumb. The roots have consistently been one of the most critically acclaimed groups in hip hop. That means something. Black thought wrote all his rhymes while it's well known that will didnt. That means something. And yes, being better bar for bar does make you a better rapper. Waka flocka makes some awesome, fun music. By his own admittance he's not a good rapper.
