Wow, "tech enthusiasts" are interested in a new technology? Gee whiz!!

Go figure that programmers are interested in an innovative software.

Also, programmers make heavy use of reference material which can result in repeated searches on Google for information. I doubt investor types need to look up much else after they've figured out how to purchase it.

I'm not surprised. But you know who was first interested in mp3?

Would be much more useful if they repeated the analysis with post-2013 data.

Exactly, the entrenched and regulated industries sat on the sidelines as spectators while half the risk-takers crashed and burned. If this were Nascar, most everybody who jumped out to the lead wrecked on the last turn and a small pack of drivers, behind for the whole race are currently safely crossing the finish line.

The same truth when you replace "bitcoin" with any break-though technology.

The paper the article is based on is from November last year. It actually is freely available. Check it out.

It only covers the USA and only goes about as deep as this.

Also mal ganz abgesehen davon, dass ich wahrscheinlich noch nie nach "free market bitcoin" gegoogelt habe obwohl mich dieses Thema interessiert, denke ich ist die Studie auch sonst sowas von wertlos, dass es weh tut.

Yeah, right.

Nobody is interested in Bitcoin for investment. All those VCs are just big ol geeks, wasting their money on star wars t shirts and Bitcoin key rings.

Yeah, right.

I don't get this attitude. I always here how "Bitcoin is backed by math", but when it comes to actual studies with real data - be it this study, or Mozilla's A-B tests, - then the statistics are apparently wrong.

Nobody is interested in Bitcoin for investment. All those VCs are just big ol geeks, wasting their money on star wars t shirts and Bitcoin key rings.

Where do you get this from? I'm more surprised there's not a libertarian correlation but I'm not going to say they're wrong because an opinion doesn't trump hard science.

Yes ! But they are not interested in the blockchain right ? :D

The fact that something is currently illegal doesn't make it bad. So what if people buy drugs? If people really cared about safety they would regulate and tax it. Most quality drugs aren't dangerous at all.

Who said anything was "bad"? The study doesn't say this.

Their propaganda is as blatant as a tumor. Their institutions have cancer, they will never know what hit them.

Steadfast brothers and sisters.
