You're right. Reddit is a privately held company, and they can control their content however they see fit— but do you honestly think everyone who doesn't agree with the content policy needs to shut the fuck up?

I mean, shit, the majority of the user base on this site acts like they're oppressed for their shitty opinions— when the CEO of Reddit basically admitted that they would be given preferential treatment. Saying that reddit is open to all types of opinions is a little different than being like "we're fully in support of these communities, and we've even decided to subsidize their experience." The hate subs are emboldened more now than they ever were before, and it feels like I can't go anywhere without seeing "DAE SJWs" or something along those lines, pushed all the way to the top with upvotes and dank maymays of approval.

So, in short, yeah Reddit is a privately held company that can do whatever with their website— but that doesn't mean I need to shut the fuck up about my opinion on the matter.
