Spoiler alert: You don't want to watch this movie, and I'm going to give you the plot line here.

Synopsis
Amy Schumer is an early 30's (?) woman who has been consistently hooking up with hot guys for a while. She breaks up with one (John Cena), and meets a doctor. She looks to me like she is right at the wall. Not just any doctor, mind you. A doctor who has a new technique for sports knee surgery who regularly gets the attention of top tier professional athletes like Lebron James and Amar'e Stoudemire. She starts off treating him like any other hookup, but of course falls for him. They have a falling out, they get back together, everyone lives happily ever after.

Key moments & themes
"I have a no-sleep-over rule." She won't sleep at the guy's place, and won't let him sleep at hers. Actually, I don't think we ever see her place during the movie. She breaks this rule immediately, thus establishing the women-lack-agency theme.

During the breakup phase, the doctor is shown to have an empty life, with no friends. He's unhappy because she isn't there. This is utterly ridiculous because when she is around, he's got the attention of all the top athletes and the Knicks cheerleaders.

She brings up that she's slept with lots of guys. "How many?" he asks. "What, you mean this month? How many women have you slept with?" "Three. I've slept with three." "Me too! I've also slept with three women." The implication is that she's successful because she's fucked lots of guys. This is clearly a big deal for the doctor (he says it's a big deal to him), and not in a good way, but somehow is never addressed and is ignored in the ending.

At one point, he's delivering a speech to a bunch of world famous athletes and other high class people. She's there as his date, and her phone rings, so she leaves the event and answers it. Her phone call from her boss is somehow more important than this career-defining for a world famous doctor. She makes fun of him for carrying his award out in the hall to come find her.

During the course of this movie, she loses her job because during the breakup, she almost hooks up with a 16 year old intern from work (with some bdsm play where she hits him and then his mom walks in). Though I don't get how there's a full time intern who is 16 years old because High School.

During the breakup phase, while she goes out to the club for some free male attention, the doctor is alone and sad.

She goes to see her sister and says, "There's lots of negatives about him. I mean, the sex is great, but it's not the best sex I've ever had." Her sister responds, "You don't want to marry the best sex you've ever had. The best sex you've ever had is in prison." Some RP truth there.

She writes an article about how great the doctor is and all is forgiven. He works his life on his career to make industry breakthroughs to get her attention, but all she has to do is give him a little attention and he's all hers!

Conclusion
So, it's the modern fairy tale: fuck whoever you want while you're young, then when that ride is done, get off it and marry a doctor who loves you no matter what and wants to have a couple kids with you. He will ignore your lack of culture and taste and also ignore your extremely high partner count. You never have to work another day in your life.

I saw it with a new plate, and I wanted to see LeBron's acting debut, don't judge me. LeBron should stick to hoops. It did suck. Literally no funny jokes. Except one where LeBron gets mad because the white dude gets lucky and scores on him.

Other than the end where she ends up with the rich doctor, the whole movie was a big slut shame. Almost exactly the opposite of what the feminist extremists are preaching. I honestly bet we see the tumblr camp come out against this movie.

I mean, the movie is called Trainwreck, because she IS one.

They're calling her a train wreck because she drinks heavily, fucks every dude that talks to her, can't hold a job, does drugs, eats too much garbage and basically lays around in her apartment all day before she sprays on some perfume and runs to the nearest bar to choke on some other randoms cock. Everyone in her life thinks shes a shitty, bitchy, cum dumpster -- EXCEPT her white knight beta boy.

By the end of the movie even the girl I was with felt like she was a fat disgusting mess.

Now of course Billy Beta comes to her rescue and loves her despite her 100+ count, but this HAPPENS in real life. It's not a fairy tale. Dudes do this shit every day. That's why most of us are here because we acted like this at some point. After the credits roll, I feel sorry for the good doctor. Maybe he'll show up in TRP after she fucks one of his athlete buddies, and he raises some other dudes kid.

TL;DR The whole movie is a big slut shame with a pretty realistic ending: Wall approaching CC Slut ends up with Beta.

If feminists made this movie it would be called "Empowered" or "You Go, Gurl" And her friends in the movie would have supported her slutty behavior instead of shamed it.

I didn't see the movie but if the ending is happy (ie the music/mood, not your personal take) I think it's all in all more slut supportive than shaming. There's this kind of extra coat if irony because it's a comedy so girls so see this movie and can laugh at how the girl is in fact a train wreck, but they also see themselves playing this same role in life and know that they can just laugh it off (like in the movie) because, hey, there don't seem to be any consequences to their lifestyle anyway.

Hollywood is a money making machine, and an effective one at that. It senses that this is the right time to make a movie of this nature and it goes for it.

What is this movie? A below-average looking girl who fucks lots of men out of her league on the condition that they don't commit. This is flipping the traditional story on it's head. It's a fantasy like 50 shades was a fantasy (you want a young billionaire? Ok, try zuckerberg). And the author of that awful book made a lot of money.

Humor is very subjective. I love Ron White but a lot of people don't. I also think Schumer is usually damn funny, but I know a lot of people don't. What can't be denied, and what I can't grasp from those on here that spit so much venom her way, is that she spends most of her comedy energies confirming what is put forth on here. So if she denies it she's duplicitous; if she acknowledges it she's normalizing the behavior in society and should be chastised. No-win situations put on others are the domain of the insecure.     Hollywood needs to make a comedy called:

    Divorce Rape

    Actually, when she walked out of the speech it wasn't a big deal. His character was being a bitch. He stated he "needed her" to be there because the speech was "for her". What the fuck did she have to do with his career success? They had been dating for less than a year and this award predated her. No man should need to rely on his woman.

    I have seen people hating on Amy Schumer and "Another Period" but I don't think people quite get her/them.

    This movie disgusted me, but I think it had more RP truths than feminist ones.

    Obviously, the overarching narrative is that a CC riding, wall slamming hog gets married to supreme betabux after fucking the chaddiest of chads for years. The fact that she gets a top 0.0001% of betabux after fucking the top 0.0001% of chads is vile.

    The ugly truth about this movie is that it shows the hamster spinning at full tilt. Dr Betabux, DO, is not versed in the arts of frame or hamster management. His weak frame shatters when they fight, causing her to abandon the relationship. He allows her to set all the boundaries of the relationship and falls to her every whim. She ruthlessly shit tests him, and he fails every last one.

    The happy ending bullshit comes as a result of the female protagonist's introspection. o man

    I'm 100% sure that this movie exists to troll. It trolls feminists because it shows a girl as a true piece of sociopath shit. It trolls them even harder when her far hotter , far happier sister is married to a single father and loves being a mommy. It trolls them when the non-PC father is revered among peers and former girlfriends.

    It trolls RP types with its glamorization of the types of Chads the woman fucks - these are top top top tier men. It trolls RP types with her happiness, her satisfaction with Dr Betabux. It trolls them when she says the sex is great. We know the sex can't be great - he's hardly the type to dominate , and she won't even let him BREATHE on her after. It trolls RP types hard with this completely unnatural, unsexy attraction between this woman who smashed her face on the Wall after smashing her vagina against every chad in a 10 mile area and this world famous surgeon who sports stars revere and view as a brother.

    Ironically, the only person not getting trolled is the person ignorant of gender dynamics or sexual strategy. I'd imagine that they just see another shitty sappy comedy with a lot of really big name extras in it.
