Question about 710 from Boulder. (self.CannabisExtracts)

So I was in Co a couple weeks ago (hell yeah, I know) and I bought 5 different grams of shatter. One gram was Mahatma Blue Dream, the others were made by 710, and I bought them at different dispenseries.

There were two different packages I got them in. Two came in a black package (OG Kush and Ewok) and two came in silver packages (lemon and Cherry).

Now, the two black packages were both of obviously higher quality, and I was wondering if there was a reason for that? Does a black package mean something?

Packaging means nothing. Just different companies that make it. Source: I live in boulder and have a med card.

They were all 710 labs, just two were silver 710, two were black 710, is it just different dispenseries then or what?

Different manufacturers. 710 labs and mahatma supply to a bunch of different dispensaries they are just different extract manufacturers

Nevermind I misread your question. Different colors of containers that are both 710 labs would signify different quality most likely. Probably trim run/nug run.

For sure, I was kind of thinking that might be the case, as the black packaged oil is definitely better quality.

One of the shops I went to made their own trim oil, and sold me silver 710. The silver, while definitely made by the shatter process isn't exactly pure shatter, of course the OG kush 710 isn't all that perfect as shatter, either, but it's mostly solid until I touch it.

Actually the black 710 is indica and the silver denotes sativa. Nothing to do with quality because all their oil is made with the same care. The pricing denotes trim, nug/trim, and nug runs (usually 40/50/60 dollars respectively). 710 is quality; don't buy Mahatma.

Most of the mahatma I saw was trash, the way it's packaged you can open the little black cannister and see the clear jar inside. The bud tenders at the different dispenseries I went to all let me see it if they had mahatma, and I looked at it through the light to check for inpurities, things like bubbles or clouds.

The mahatma I bought was a clean transparent amber Blue Dream, so I was quite happy with the quality, but I definitely didn't see a lot of mahatma of that quality elsewhere. I definitely agree that the 710 is much better.

I figured there was a difference, thank you.

All their oils look brown or black to me. And the consistency is scary sometimes. Their oil doesnt sizzle right. 710 used to have buddering issues for their shatter but i think they fixed that. Its a good company.

Yeah I've definitely run into some sappy shatters but for the most part concentrates in the Denver/boulder area are phenomenal. Were you just visiting?

Yeah, I was just there last week, I live in chicago where I have to make my own, so being able to buy higher quality than my own stuff was amazing to me, even though I didn't go to a shop that specialized in concentrates. Even the 'lesser' quality is still amazing, and it was a great experience. I might plan on a trip this summer just to go back, though I think I might wait until September.

Maybe just a coincidence because I only bought 2 kinds from 710 during my visit and that's all the experience I have but silver had a sativa and black an indica.

Both kinds are high in THCA versus Delta-9, I don't know if that indicates sativa vs indica, I was only familiar with delta-9 before I went there.

To my knowledge the levels of different cannabinoids is not directly related to sativa/indica. If you check on Leafly or even a general Google search the strain names will tell you sativa or indica.

MMED rules state that anything leaving a limited access area must be accounted for in the states MITS (Marijuana Information Tracking System) and be packaged ready for retail or wholesale. The rules also state that in order to sell anything medical or recreation, it must be sold in a bag that doesn't display the Cannabis related product. Thus the producer usually prepackages the product as such.

Okay but you didn't say that. You were asking why it was in said packaging. Silver or black packaging is totally arbitrary, and only there to satisfy the MMED rules.

I literally did not ask ANYTHING like the question you 'answered'. I asked why the 710 oils came in different colored packages. It is not my fault you didn't understand my post. I do not need education on the law, I asked the law when I was there. The only thing I wanted to know was different color package mean what?

I don't understand how that's not understood. I don't think it's fair that I'm down-voted for asking a question and trying to find answers. The only thing I know is that I won't be buying anything from terpp extractors ever, and I will tell people I know not to do so either.

So what if I didn't satisfy your answer. You didn't pay money for it, nothing was lost. You refined your question after my reply. Okay cool. I still stand by my answer: The packaging is arbitrary and only there to satisfy MMED rules. Completely aesthetic. All of it. What isn't to be understood about that?

So um you are going to tell people to stay away from my products and company simply because you thought I downvoted you on reddit and/or there was a disagreement/misunderstanding? Nothing to do with our products, customer service or consumer experience? You would try to hurt the jobs and livelihood of the people that work at Terpp, just to get at me? Over this? Never said you edited. Don't know where you are getting that from. You did refine your question after replying to my comment. Your reply was:

That is a cut and dry question, which wasn't asked in your OP. You asked about it in a roundabout way. Which is fine.

It's funny, because it's your self righteous behavior why I am forever put off by you, and while your products do look like they are of quality production, but my problem is that you literally told me I said something. I said 'no, this is what I asked' and you said 'no you didn't.'

I can only assume your customer service is as pig headed as you, and I would not use your products because I asked a question, you answered a completely different question, then I said 'no, this was the question' and you said 'no it wasn't.'

You didn't have to respond, and you certainly didn't have to respond like a dick, but you did, and you did it on an account you're using to advertise your products. If you don't want me to have a negative opinion of your company then you shouldn't be an asshole while advertising your product, especially not to someone who might actually buy your product.

Literally, your product is much better than the toaster oven I use now and much cheaper than the vac oven I want to purchase, if you weren't an ass, I probably would have bought it, but the only thing I know about your company is that the owner was a dick who told me what I said.

When your apology includes calling me a self righteous ass, there's something wrong. If you don't like the tag, then maybe you should ask them to remove it. If I had heard of your company from any other way I would have probably ordered from you, but now you've lost my future business. My suggestion is to maybe act like the guy on the other side of the screen is a person, and not some moron. I may have only been extracting for a year now, but I do it regularly and I've taught multiple people safe ways of producing it themselves. I honestly want you to remember that YOU personally lost a customer because of your attitude. I came to this subforum expecting people to be helpful, and I was met with snide and derision. Just remember that just because I'm not posting to this sub daily, doesn't mean I'm not out talking to people and dabbing daily.
