I can understand when a poster claims that the post is their own creation or something when it was really done by someone else, but holy hell resubmitting a link when its been submitted years in the past is not some cardinal sin. Chances are a small minority of people are actually seeing it twice while most people see it for the first time each time its posted. Thats why reposts often make it to the top again.

It seems like these people expect a poster to go through 10 years of Reddit history to just to make sure its a completely original post. And its not like old posts are browsed through anyway months after they've been posted.

God forbid you have to look at an image more than once in your lifetime.
