Bill Hader is fucking gorgeous. I'm glad someone finally started asking the questions I care about.

Love how bill immediately got the tone of the show and just ran with it.

I'm pretty sure this is scripted and they're both in on it.

I would agree with you but Amy looked lost

[–]HothHanSolo 0ポイント1ポイント  (3子コメント)

Why do you say that? It's not really a sophisticated schtick to improvise and/or play along with.

[–]GringusMcDoobster 3ポイント4ポイント  (2子コメント)

I wouldn't say it was scripted word for word but to give them an idea on how to act is somewhat similar to the phrase 'scripted' is it not?

I imagine that their PR or handlers probably prepped the actors by saying that the interviewers were wacky and likely to try something unorthodox. Presumably Hader and Schumer are both trained improvisers, so it's plausible that they immediately understood the schtick and rolled with it.

I bet more than anything they where told upfront what was going to happen for the interview.

A lot of women are bitter about having second place in society yet a lot of these same women exploit the benefits of being a woman. Not to say that it is right to see women as second class citizens.

Edit- Apparently the truth isn't very popular.

Do they act like some men?

[–]TruckChuck 18ポイント19ポイント  (52子コメント)

Yup. They get to have power over men while still being the victim. They love it.

Are you, as a man, giving up on your man perks even though you believe in equality?

No you aren't.

If you were clearly unfavored compared to the other sex, wouldn't you still hang to the few areas where you are favored?

It's not like the equality process is done in a night. Are women supposed to accept the unfair statu quo AND give up on the few privileges they have?

I do not see that as a problem though. I would be a little bitter if I had less worth (by whatever degree in whatever context... it obviously varies) in society because of my gender or any other factor but, I still would take advantage of what benefits I can despite being aware that there should be no benefits. I have no issue with women being both bitter about their position in society and taking advantage of it at the same time. Of course, there are examples and circumstances of which I would find unconscionable.

I am white, male, come from a not poor family, well educated and still under those circumstances I exploit various things, acting in what I consider my best interests. I have/had it easier than many other people but I still must put in effort which I wish to reduce, may struggle with financial security I wish to avoid etc. Thus I take advantage of things. If I were a woman, or a minority, apart of any marginalised group or subjected to more hegemonic forces and so on, I would be even more inclined to take advantage of my situation.

It seems irrational not to, even if I am fighting for equality. If my personal actions do not reflect my ideologies, as long as they are not in some extreme disharmony, thus avoiding cognitive dissonance, then I will happily be labelled hypocrite.

Though note, it is not always in my self interest to exploit certain things, or there are certain examples which I would consider unconscionable to do so, thus I do not. Again, avoiding cognitive dissonance.

Well being a hypocrite doesn't always invalidate a position kind of like you are saying. I can see why women exploit their hotness (if they have it) granted they are second class citizens in the eyes of countless people. Nonetheless this hypocrisy takes away from their "fight" since they like to pretend that looks shouldn't matter or other such nonsense that many women subscribe to while exploiting their good looks. I think this hurts them since men who aren't dumb see this, and then they are less likely to be on their side when it comes to their demands for equality.

Kinda funny that the interviewers look like they put a lot of time into how they look so that they come across as having unique personas. Aka hipsters

[–]trose89 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

Good stuff. I wish more female actors and celebrities in general would shut down this asinine behavior. Yeah, if she's wearing anything worth talking about I'll notice and look it up later thanks. Talk about whatever the fuck they're doing that makes them famous.
