Just like a seed is not a tree. There is a distinction. But the line between fetus and human being is blurry and a grey area and that is what the constant debate is all about. A fetus before 23 weeks-ish is not viable a fetus after may be viable. So though there is not a solid line that defines the difference that doesn't negate that there IS a distinction.

Well, I guess that is where our opinions differ. I see your point about distinction but in my mind the point of distinction is conception. You may think that to be simple minded of me, or short sighted, but that is my personal belief

No. In this simile, the seed is the fetus. Except a fetus is a growing, living human (literally, scientifically, google it and get over it). A seed is just a seed. If I planted a seed and it started growing, it would immediately become a tree, the moment it started growing. Because that's how it fucking works.
