Please help me (self.TheBluePill)

I'm at a loss. I've discovered TRP, and as a 23 year old man I can totally relate to all the experiences on there. Being the romantic type has only caused me to be heart broken countless times. I've never been a fan of the Alpha types. In high school I was jealous of them getting all the girls and me being walked all over. I was always skinny and average height. I think my facial features are relatively attractive.

I don't know about all the generalizations about women on there or not, but the advice on there was never taught to me. (Lifting, how to be confident, abundance mentality, how to flirt, passing shit tests, basically how to attract a girl sexually.

I guess the Red Pill theory about AWALT is probably not true, but is the actual actionable advice on there ok? I just want to get your guys opinions. I've lurked on here for a while and it seems the women on here aren't attracted to any of these behaviors. Which confuses me, because I've read that the actual actionable dating advice on TRP is common sense. It wasn't to me at all. I was totally in the feminist mindset and felt that as a man, I am a potential rapist so I always felt guilty about my sexual desires. Feminism brainwashed me so much I have contemplated suicide in the past because feminism made me feel bad about being a man. Sort of like how TRP would make a woman feel about being a woman.

So, can you help me out? Before I delve deeper into TRP stuff, I'd like some people here to tell me where I'm going wrong.

The women on this subreddit sound like they are into the romantic, sensitive, nice guys. As Justin Bieber would say, Where are you now that I need ya?

      I'm pretty sure you're thinking into this too much. The advice TRP sometimes gives like working out and being confident is fine, but the misogyny it's basic assumptions are rooted in are patently wrong. Not to mention the advice that sets out to just harm women, like "dread game."

      You don't have to be a feminist to not be TRP. I'm no feminist and I think TRP is full of idiots. Just take their most basic common sense advice. Work out, keep your body clean, don't be an idiot, and have some self-confidence. From there it's just a matter of approaching women you find attractive and asking them out. Just talk.

      Passing shit tests is such a joke. If the person you're with is shit testing you, and you guys can't use your big boy/girl words to work through the shit she's (or he's) throwing at you... you should do what any adult would do and leave. Find someone who says what they want, and wants what they say. Contrary to popular belief over at TRP, not all women are confused, lost souls who can't handle some introspection. The ones who can't, aren't the ones you want to be with.

      How is that feminist at all? That sounds toxic af. Not all men are rapists. Generalizations are hurtful... especially when you throw them around without examining why you have them. Plus sexual desire and all that goes with it can be a damn beautiful thing.

      Um.. you seem highly confused as to what feminism is, but that said, suffice to say you seem to be reacting strongly to environmental factors. This comes with the territory of being young... but work on isolating and avoiding the things which affect you negatively. Are you hanging out with the wrong crowd? Reading specific internet blogs too much? Maybe a friend, family member or ex or something said a bunch of crap?

      Feeling bad about being you, or feeling bad about the genitals you've got is toxic shit... so identify the sources (sorry, no, blanket terms like feminism aren't helpful here) and cut those sources in your life out.

      We don't know you, and nor does TRP. Random internet strangers can only be so helpful. That said, work on your self esteem, don't take everything everyone says to heart and stop looking for love or expecting sex or a girlfriend is going to make your life better. Just focus on your interests and on meeting people.

      You're not the first romantic to get hurt. You're not the only guy out there who's lonely. There isn't a magic formula to fix your life... you gotta be more nuanced than that.

          I don't think being sexist is that bad.

          I'll give you the benifit of the doubt and assume you're not a troll. So if you were fired from your job or harassed because you were a man it's not that bad or not being allowed to vote because a man's place should be in the army. What about being racist is that not so bad because races are different. Difference is not justification for discrimination. The red pill does not merely acknowledge differences they think women are children who "need" men. (Post from a top mod). Women are different from men physically but in no way are they lesser humans. Until you (and anyone who "takes the red pill" realize that women deserve to be treated like people and not hormonal children, you will never have a meaningful relationship.

          If you don't see this stuff, you are purposefully ignoring the toxic elements of TRP. TRP is fundamentally an ideology about hating women.

          By admitting to following TRP, you are basically telling the world you are an unabashed misogynist. This is undeniable given the countless examples and literally the ideology spelled out in their sidebar.
