No, me, my brother and my mother hadn't seen our family since we immigrated (I was 2 at the time, brother not even born) for 10+ years. We went on a holiday to them and stayed for 2 months. We a couple time again (like 2-4). It was amazing, I love them so much and there were like 50 people outside the Airport waiting for just us ...

I'll never forget them, they live such humble and hardworking lifes.

Lots of visa and passport issues. Last time was for the funural of my grandpa which I was named after. Lovely person, incredibly generous. He died of a heartattack, same thing happened with my other grandpa after a month, both amazing people. Sadly I couldn't go to his funeral but my mother did. I had to go to school. This all happened. About 2years ago.

I'm pretty sure owning a small business like a laundromat is pretty much a seven days a week commitment. If you're not there, then the store doesn't open that day and then you've lost potential income for that day.

I work as a tech at the Pear Store and the other day the whole mall lost power but yet people were upset when we couldn't do any more repairs and one lady even had the audacity to tell me it was Pear's fault and I had to fix it (the no power situation). I feel like there are enough people on reddit now upvoting this kind of stuff that we basically don't have to go outside anymore. You guys have been here so long that you've just about completely reconstructed the experience of leaving your house and looking at stuff.

Soon there will be pictures of trees and the text will say "This tree looks a little bit curvy." A photo of a shoe hanging from a powerline with the text "How's he gonna get home lol."

That is things you see outside of your house. You might be able to see those things just by looking out your window.

I worked with a lady who was from Cambodia. This woman was one of the hardest working people I had EVER met. She worked literally like 4 jobs at a time so she could pay for her daughter to go to college and to go "home" for a few months a year. Once and awhile we would find her sleeping (I worked with her at her night job) We would just wake her up and she would be on her way. I will never forget her!!

Ok, I'm gonna play Devil's advocate here... While it's nice that this small business owner gets to see his/her family for the first time in so long, as customer I'd be pretty upset if I had dropped my laundry of to be dry cleaned for some special occasion only to go back to pick it up and find that they're closed. If you can't find someone to cover while you're out the responsible thing to do would be to at least warn your customers that you'll be closed for a few days. Who knows, maybe that's what they did.
