It was the "punchline" to a very dumb vine that was going around last year. Saying "21" ran the danger of losing control of the class or at least annoying the crap out of you.

I made a list of things kids weren't allowed to say and called them, "door slammers" and idk what that even means but it was effective. They ended up getting a color change each time they used the words. It included 21, Ebola, shut up, and yeet

I printed an image of the Internet of a ghost and a owl. There was a sentence on top of it saying: "you forgot your pencil? " and the owl and ghost said : "bouh! Hoo!"

It was brilliant.

I was teaching grade 9, 10 and 11 at the time.
