Jesus. You fell over. Get a grip.

[–]sparkos9999 17ポイント18ポイント  (3子コメント)

It did make me laugh though

Yeah, its overall air of righteous indignation was undermined for great comic effect by the fact that a grown man fell over and skinned his leg doing a fucking 2 mile run. I can see him, blood trickling down his leg, fist raised to the heavens, him screaming, "Is that all you got Gaaad?!?"

I've known guys shot by Taliban snipers that make less of a deal of what happened to them than this guy and his skinned knee.

Yeah but the running scene can be pretty harsh like when your thighs chafe or you have like a cupful of ass-sweat in your pants.

Why is this not the top comment?

edit: haha, now i'm being downvoted because it IS the top comment.. awesome

It's all about forcing adaptation. Everyone is capable of some kind of greatness.

I lift fasted 5-6 days a week before work. I get up at 5:30 or 6 and every single day I don't really feel like doing exercise, but skipping it is just not going to happen. It's never even on the table. I know that once I get a set in, the endorphins come and whatever my circadian rhythm was telling me 10 minutes ago is vapourised.

I relish in the fact that every day I'm training my body to do intense physical feats without nutrients and against my natural will, so I'm forcing change with both my body and mind. I will keep going until I'm totally exceptional, and then keep going after that. Lifting is a good way to achieve some level of greatness because it's an entirely internal locus of control. You can't truly say that about anything else. Anything else you succeed in is dependent on circumstance in significant ways. In no way is physical training dependent on anything but your own will, and that's why it's so special.

I lift weights fasted a lot too. I actually prefer it as I find it makes the workout very intense, especially if you add preworkout too. I hit the biggest squat pr after not eating anything for almost 2 days. Training fasted with caffeine makes me not give a fuck at all, makes me very aggressive too. I've also lifted in a sleep deprived state and hit a bench pr lol. I love working out in the most bizarre conditions just to see what my body can handle and what improvements can be made from a challenge.

Kill yourself a little bit everyday. Today i worked 8 hours at my job on a very involved and complex project, approached 4 random women after work, crashed and burned 3 of them, hit the gym hard and pulverized my shoulders until i could barely breath. And tonight is friday night. Most people are out partying.

I do this routine 5 to 6 times a week. My life revolves around daily mental, emotional, and physical stress.

If youre sitting at home jerking off and playing video games. You will never grow and change for the better. Ever.

One advice: don't be too serious. That may be why you failed with the women. They just want to have fun, to feel excited, to feel strong emotions of any kind. Sometimes at bars or clubs I randomly get my bollocks out and wave them around. Women love it because I just don't give a fuck, life is just a game for me.

only when applied in excess. RP sounds a bit rapey, in actuality its sound philosophy (for the most part).

I totally agree with you there. I approached them with too much outcome dependence. Thats why by the fourth one i was in state and didnt give a fuck and it went well.

I'm with you on the moods/drugs/food thing. I can tell not everyone is like this, but I've seriously got to get my ass and mind worn out in a healthy way or else I know I will fuck my own body up with bad food and drugs.

Know your flaws. Addiction runs in my family so I have to be careful about what I put into my body.

I work in a warehouse. I'm a "tagout" puller, which means I pull the heavy shit to put in orders for stores. I wear a Thor's hammer necklace and Nike Airs, and I give a loud, Archer-style "Woooo!" when it's time to pull car batteries. I often sprint from one end of the warehouse to the other because walking takes too damn long.

Every morning before work, I watch a motivational video or two on YouTube which help put me in the mood.

Most people I work with shamble through their day, trying not to do any more work than they have to. They hate their job, or at best, "don't mind it".

I'm growing an inch a day, thanks to TRP, and pretty soon I'll be too big for the warehouse.

That's great man. I worked at fedex for four years. I got in great shape there and it was essentially an all male environment. Men could be men. I miss it at times.

[–]Irish_Bastard 1ポイント2ポイント  (1子コメント)

Warehouse environment s are often toxic, far more are toxic than not. You lucked out if it's not the case. You're a tougher bastard than most if you're rising above it.

Oh, yeah, it's the most dangerous place I've ever worked. I'm surprised more people don't get injured there.

Slightly less goofy than ganstaman9000the2nd's link, and a bit more targeted, but definitely good stuff. Plus, it might get you to take up the gentle art . . .

Nice! I'm going back to Muay Thai, now that my lungs have cleared out, but the place I go teaches classes in all kinds of different arts, so who knows?

[–]michaelconnery1985 3ポイント4ポイント  (3子コメント)

I wake up at 6am every day even though school starts at 9. Hit the gym, do some sprints, then eat breakfast and prepare lunch. People start waking up when I'm leaving and ready to take on the day.

[–]meet_me_at_high_noon[S] 1ポイント2ポイント  (1子コメント)

Its a great feeling and it gives you control over your life right? Chance and circumstance have less impact when you're up early and working hard.

[–]Metalaggeddon 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

Wake early, crush early, plan early, and you run your day.

Just on time is too late, then the day runs you.

[–]macardent 2ポイント3ポイント  (3子コメント)

I just got turned down by my oneitis recently and this just made me realize there is so much more to life than women.

[–]gman1216 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

I got the "I'm not comfortable with where things are going..." text.

[–]jx234 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

Reminds me of Bill Burr: "If I can't get pussy I don't want to live"

[–]Boring_Boris 1ポイント2ポイント  (1子コメント)

good stuff OP. Seems that we go through ups and downs on TRP, for a while before it was mostly BP posts here.

[–]meet_me_at_high_noon[S] 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

One of the best things that TRP promotes is sacrifice and hard work. Between that and theory I think that should take up most of readers time. A lot of the posts that pull from r/relationships feel like gossip to me. I get why they are there and its good to see how people think but sometimes its an overload.
