One of the biggest issues I have is the fact that a big part of the community has asked for some easy changes and it seems that the mods don't care. A good example of that is the weekly questions threads that I now do, because we didn't get a response.

I just want the mods to have more interaction with the community like it's the case in other quality subs.

I don't have any issues with the mods myself. I have always found them to be responsive and easy to get ahold of. I have interacted with all of them at one time or another. As for the weekly threads.. well, quite simply, those tend to take some work and if the mods agreed to every request for them, there would be nothing but weekly threads autoposted to the sub.

Let's not forget, this is Reddit, if you don't like the content, you are free to submit and change it. I actually like some of the threads for the questions and such, but I don't see them getting upvoted very high, so I think that is better left to community members rather than the mods. That being said, I appreciate the effort that goes into them and would encourage people to put in similar work if they want the same. So far, the ones who have been willing to put in the work have been far and few between. So it ends up in being a request for mods to have to put in a lot of effort on their behalf.

Anyhow, to address specific points:

Mods inactive for more than 2 months should be relieved of their position, Source[8] while yes this is more of an interpretation of the rules, I feel it is a good guide line to keep mods that are active.

Myself, I haven't had an issue with this and see the mods fairly regularly post. Now the question is, do we want the mods to be at arm's length or do we want them to be mixing it up with the users and possibly causing drama even worse than this? Or do we want a mix. There are no good answers. Myself, I think the reputation of the sub as being one of the nicest places on Reddit has a great deal to do with that arm's length attitude they have taken.

There have been accusations of the mods not responding to mod mail. While this cannot be proven by me, this is something that would be important to address as this is our only means of communication to the mods.

Really not experienced this. Everything I have ever sent to mod mail has been addressed quickly and has most certainly been responded to.

Some mods may be negatively responding to critique about them.

And? They are still redditors. They are still allowed to get into it and they aren't expected to sit there quietly while someone slags them off. I would have MUCH more of an issue if people were being banned or whatever due to getting into an argument with a mod (Something that happens on Reddit with distressing regularity) but mods firing back.. human nature.

Anyhow, this all seems pretty minor. I don't have an issue with the way the sub is being moderated myself. We do likely need more mods, but don't forget, being a mod isn't all happy happy fun times. In fact.. it isn't much fun at all. It is work and you have to deal with some of the most petty BS you can imagine. I really appreciate our mods.

Mod /u/Krishnath_Dragon has not been active for 4 months. Mod /u/likemaugal has just began posting again. Mods /u/Pllatinum and /u/Fishtails have both been active. Please check user history to verify.

I only discovered this sub within the last few months. I love it. I've learned so many new things and love how helpful the community is. You never really see anyone getting harshly criticized for "stupid" acts, everyone goes about it very level headed.

That being said, Mods are needed to keep any subreddit alive. If the mods aren't active, or even responding to mod mail, then maybe we need new management.

It looks to me like you're trying to stir up drama. source

Just sayin. It looks a little......fishy. ;)

Just trying to change the sub for the better. Be it mods talk to us, we change some mods, or a small revolutionary war involving tridents.
