Trump changes positions on healthcare throughout time...........he's not genuine! He flip flops! Obama changes positions on homosexual marriage............he's progressing! He's changing for the better! Truly a hypocritical bunch, the lot of them

eh they both flip flopped imo

Do people consider trump to be a serious candidate?

Originally I didn't think so, but now he's in the lead :/

I'm not really sure why Americans think of single payer health care as opposing conservative values. Here in Canada we use single payer and our highly conservative PM agrees it's the best system.

Because big government regulations raise costs, because people don't deserve to have my tax dollars paying for their healthcare and because I have a fundamentally right to contract who I want to be my insurer

A.) it sucks b.) Harper sucks and he's wrong c.) Harper is not conservative. And forcing someone to buy something [by increasing their taxes] is against Conservative values. That's why.

[–]Biwin 1

No that's against libertarian values. Conservatives can still believe some taxation is necessary.

Right, but minimal taxes. Increasing taxes past enough to keep the government alive is not Conservative.

You don't know what conservatism is if you don't understand why conservatives don't like the idea of government run healthcare.

More bizzaro-land voting in the "conservative" sub

Lol yep and not even replies. Just downvoting a pretty simple fact.

Liberals have been invading this sub pretty regularly for the past few months

It always amazes me how many liberals come here just to downvote us and upvote other leftists. Literally nothing better to do, apparently. Shouldn't they be shilling for Sanders?

I voted for a peanut farmer from Georgia, does that somehow condemn me to being a libtard for life ?

People actually can change their political leanings, despite what the idiots on the left and their brain dead drones might tell you.

As long as you didn't vote for him in 1980 you're good.

Nope, I didnt, I am proud to say I voted for the greatest President this nation has ever had since I have been around that year.

As well as four years later.

Lucky son of a gun.

Yes. Yes, it does.

I dont feel like a tard, therefore I am not.

There's a lot of things Trump has (supposably) changed on. We will not know for sure until someone asks those questions. One thing I know for sure is that I have no doubt that trump wants to restore America and make it great again.

As long as he profits from it, I have no doubt he wants to either.

Problem is, he is so greedy that he CAN be bought. Listen to him, all he cares about is money. But he is a "Christian".

He doesn't need to profit from it. He's rich. He said that. If he really isn't running for the country, than it sure isn't about money. He's swimming in that.

But he wants to profit from it. That's just the type of person he is.

You believe something a candidate says when everything they do shows the exact opposite?

[–]Olipyr 3

But he wants to profit from it. That's just the type of person he is.

To be fair, that's all of them.

I understand your sentiment but that's the supposed appeal behind Trump. Theoretically, he's worth billions and is well-off. He therefore doesn't need any more money. Because he's at such an incredulously rich state of being, he cannot be bought. Mix the above theory with his harsh candor and ability to speak his mind, he gives the image of someone who cannot be swayed, bullshitted, or duped, especially given his successful record.

Whether you believe it or not is up to you.

I don't know what's more interesting, watching the leftist propaganda media flip the script to a question of who voters WON'T vote for, or watching all the people who fall for the rhetoric and repeat it.

I won't vote for Trump but I think his participation is key. No matter what he has done in the past his current stances are going to help to pull the party back to the right where it should be. Jeb Bush and Christ Christy are going to run on 'centerist', i.e. leftist, policies and will fall flat on their faces. Bush will take longer to drop out - he might even make it near the end.
