Why 2011 though? Twitter existed in 2009 and was two years strong - also there are so many adults involved it's a little weird to think of this as adult rebellion.

That's where the "critical mass" part comes in. There's a time delay before SJWs become savvy to the technology and become radicalized enough that people start to take notice.

also there are so many adults involved it's a little weird to think of this as adult rebellion.

Adults who behave like children, more accurately. There's a reason the term "delayed adolescence" exists.

While this is true I've seen "proper" adults, the married with children and a dog and a house with picket fences kind, run around spouting SJW standard catchphrases on Twitter. A lot, in fact.

It seems to happen to journalists in particular. I remember when Griner tweeted this "great fearless post by LW" https://twitter.com/griner/status/523160538033836032 and I was quite surprised that he even was following the internet drama.

I guess I should have seen the signs, as soon as he was editor of adweek, posts like this begun to appear "Why the modern creative is fierce and female"

http://www.adweek.com/news/advertising-branding/why-perfect-modern-creative-fierce-fearless-and-female-160473

These are grown men with careers and children (and I note, this kind of guy often pose with their babies on the social media pictures). Why are they doing this? Are they following a trend, do they seriously believe this, are they listening to the critical mass that you describe, and trying to emulate that? I'm really trying to wrap my head around how this spread.

Great, fearless post by @Spacekatgal on refusing to back down to rape-threatening trolls: http://bit.ly/1yHvLAS

Apparently being in your early 20s is what passes for old now.

I'm not blaming this on all young people, just that they are more prone to this type of behavior, and that it is not a new thing.

I'm not sure if solipsism is the correct term here as it usually indicates the only reality that exists is the one you create for yourself and people are really just manifestations of your own mind.

I've never met a legitimate solipsist in my life.

I'm interested in your opinions and push-backs against just simply calling this 21st century marxism at work. Given that Marx thought it was technology that drove historical self-conscious shift in society I'm not seeing how your theory differs much.

This is further proved by SJW's typically being cultural marxists and the leaders of these movements being self-professed marxists.

Might makes right, dog. The only thing you can do is use their tactics against them and fight violence with violence. No one likes to admit it but at the end of the day violence is the force that causes change. Whether that violence is voluntarily laid upon your enemies or whether it's laid upon non-violent civil-disobedients violence is the catalyst.
