Facebook adding a dislike button.

And sadly the day people will stop falling for the "Click here to install the dislike button" will also never happen.

Is that a thing?

There use to be one but you only saw the dislikes if other people had the extension.

Yes, like the "Click here to change Facebook's color!".

They also will never let you see who visited your profile (at least they say so...)

While this is probably true, I've noticed that if I click on my friend's list the people whose profiles I have visited a lot recently tend to be at the top. There are some random friends scattered at the top as well but it seems to be pretty accurate. Also in one of my groups (of like 50+ people) whenever a bunch of people Like a certain post, this one girl's name will always appear as the first one among the three that show up. I guess I have looked through her pictures more than other people on my friend's list so I think there is something there.

and every single search you did is still in your fb activity log

Yeah, I noticed that, but it's the people you've looked at. I can see how it can be inconvenient (checking fb in front of friends - name of my crush appears as soon as I enter the first letter of his name...), but I guess they assume you know who you've been stalking and just try to improve your experience or whatever.

They do have the ultimate dislike button: unfollow.

But I want my anti-vacc cousin to publicly know I think she's an idiot each time she reposts a link.

Then tell her she's an idiot in the comments every time she posts it.

I think a simple thumbs down would have a far greater impact than me wasting my time typing a comment. I'd then receive constant notices every time someone posted a counter point and would wind up being one of those guys who sit on the internet all day debating with people who never concede a point.

Wait a second...

Not skipping any songs when you set your music library to shuffle.

I swear I have the worst luck with shuffle buttons. I have over 1000 songs in my Playlist but for some reason it keeps fucking landing on the same set of 10 songs.

I feel like Spotify's shuffle algorithm is just awful to begin with.

[–]Jourei [

"According to the last 5 songs you listened while shuffling, you've been listening to these 5 songs the most. You really like them now."

It prioritizes songs you play often, which is kind of shitty. That being said you can turn off the ability for songs to repeat in shuffle which works out well.

It prioritizes songs you play often

What idiot decided that? That just perpetuates the problem!

Playlists, bro.

I have a playlist with all my music in it on Spotify because sorting into other playlists is hard work

Truth. I have 1 spotify playlist called "Starcreaft." Original made it to listen to while playing Starcraft, now it has all my music and I'm too lazy to fix the typo.

Wrong. You're supposed to have a playlist of only KPop for Starcraft. You need to channel as much Korean into your system as possible.

United States switching to metric.

Replacing every road sign reading "miles" alone would be a multi-billion dollar operation. We're just in too deep to quit now.

We could at least go partial, like the Brits.

yes we use metric for most things, but speeds are still all mph

Most people I know measure themselves in feet and stone still though. It's weird because when I was teaching primary school kids, every measurement was in metric. All maths weights worksheets are with grams and kilos. Even when you get to secondary, you're doing trigonometry in metres. People measure out food in kilos, they know what 5 litres of water feels like. And then you ask someone how tall they are and they say "5'11". Arghh.

British measurements are easy

Anything up to half an inch is in mm,
Anything up to 10cm is in inches
Anything up to a foot is in cm (except 6 inches, and penises)
Anything up to a metre is in feet
Anything up to half a mile is in metres (except 6 feet, and height)
Anything over that is in miles

The one that gets me the most in imperial measurements is the one for things that are smaller then an inch.

How can 3/8, 1/100, 9/57, 7/22 of an inch be a thing but millimeters are somehow too complicated. It's so weird.

I'm fine with anything else. Let them keep their feet and yards and cups and gallons and whatnot.

In Canada people pretty much only refer to metric unless you work construction, then everything is in inches and feet.

Actually everyone uses KMs to refer to distance but usually would say 100 feet as opposed to 30 metres or whatever the conversion is.

We are still in transition, im 21 and we just had to learn both, eventually they will only teach metric and we will be goodd.

I'm five foot ten, 170 pounds and I cook French fries at 400 degrees!

It's 30 degrees outside and I want to buy 2 litres of water but the nearest store is 20 kilometres away...

Replacing every road sign reading "miles" alone would be a multi-billion dollar operation.

Would be a great public works project. Update the infrastructure, and while we do it, buy new fucking signs that say kmh and mph; then as those signs degrade, replace them with only kmh signs.

President Donald Trump

I don't think he really wants to be president, he just runs for the publicity. In 2012 his announcements all coincided with the premiere and finale of his reality show. He's just generating hype about himself.

I've always made empty threats about moving away from the United States (I live outside Detroit so it'd be a close move), but I would pack up and leave if Trump was president. That'd be some fucked up shit.

I don't know about that. You can either live under Trump's foreign policy or his domestic policy. I think the latter is a safer bet. He won't nuke his own country.

Ultra-troll mode Trump though, we are living it right now and people don't realize it.

Imagine though. Arya Stark receives a new name in the last ever chapter: George R R Martin.

He passes away peacefully a day before the official release date. Or so it seems.

I mean... that would suck, but if he passes a day before the release date then at least that means the book is published and out there.

If the ending say, ends in Ramsay Bolton getting the Iron Throne, D and D will turn it into a Ramsay Bolton buddy action plot with the sand snakes to rescue Arya Stark from the Lich King.

Half-life 3, just accept it, if it does there a very high chance in my opinion that we will end up with another Duke Nukem Forever.

Edit: Also on that note I'm starting to despair for Zelda Wii U... three-four years and we don't even have a title...

Valve pretty much has to shell out the best game ever if they want to top the hype around half-life 3 by now.

In any other case, it'll get the Duke Nukem Forever treatment. Valve probably isn't going to take the chance even if that means living with HL3 confirmed jokes forever.

I can see it now. The year 3015

Hey Glort did you hear President Zandors coming to earth tomorrow

No why's he coming

Apparently theirs some supply valve on the intergalactic wormhole that wont open

oh wow

Yeah I guess whatever powers the portal has a pretty short half life so unless they can get the supply valve open its gonna close up that's why they're coming right away.

...what worm hole did you say it was

Number three. Wh...Don't you fucking say it

Half-life 3 Confirmed!

Damnit Glort it's been over a thousand years Half-life 3 isn't fucking coming

I don't even care if it's done in Source 1.

At this point I don't care if it's a PowerPoint presentation thrown together on a pc running Windows 96 with Gabe Newel talking into a shitty microphone with out a pop filter while the presentation is being displayed on a wall with various imperfections and the whole thing is being filmed in portrait mode on a camera older than hl1 is and then exported into like a 100x50 resolution. heavy breathing

I would still pay 200$+ for this.

Yeah they have dug them self to deep now. As time has gone by the expectations have become bigger than what they will ever be able to deliver.
Plus it doesn't help that both HL1 and 2 revolutionized/evolved FPS greatly in their own ways, which was a part of what made them so great when they where released. But now there is really not that much more to do with the FPS genre without sorting to gimmicks. We have realistic physics, beautiful graphics, different ways to tell the story (all of which Half Life helped pioneer) etc. The only way for them to succeed as I see it is to have one incredible kick ass story.

But now there is really not that much more to do with the FPS genre without sorting to gimmicks.

That's what they said before HL and HL2, so I'm confident that HL3 will come some day. Valve is not knowing for rushing releasing or releasing information too early. ;)

Why would it end up like Duke Nukem Forever? That game switched developers so many times. While HL 3 stays in one.
