I’m calling bullshit on your age old, sexual assault enabling, male excuse that you can’t “resist yourselves” around scantily clad or naked women.
The other day I realized, that as a gay cis woman, I’ve been around naked women all my life (communal washrooms, changing rooms, locker room showers, boarding school ffs) but I’ve *somehow* never sexually assaulted a woman because she was showing the natural state of her body.
Am I blind? Have I been socialized as a female to only see breasts as maternal objects? Does this mean I have no sex drive?

I’m a horny goat on the best of days, but (as well as having this thing called common decency) I possess this chip in my brain that tells me when a situation with a woman is clearly sexual, and when it REALLY isn’t. Simple as that.

Seeing as over 51% of rape victims are men and 40% of rapists are women, let’s not be too quick on judging an entire gender for a gender-neutral crime and pretending one gender is innocent of a gender-neutral crime they also commit.There is no “them” or “us” in sexual assault in rape. It’s not “men” for abusers and “women” for victims. Men can be victims of rape. Women can be rapists. Shut up.
