its very easy to remove that using adblock, i cant remember how to do it with abp but with ublock origin you just pick element and delete the topmost element until the notice dissapears and you can interact with the main page.

If you specifically make an effort to detect which plugins are running on my web browser then I will make zero effort, in fact I will spend more effort making sure you get less ad revenue from others even if I can "simply fix it".

    If someone puts a cute little message asking me to disable ABP on their site, I always whitelist them just for that. If they deny me access for using ABP, fuck them. I have wrote a userscript just for sites like that. Don't get me wrong, I'm a web developer too, but that's the worst way to try and get users to pay it forward when they view your site.

    It's rule one of web design: respect the user's choices. Up there with not blaring music at me (I'm looking at you increasing amount of news websites).

    I have no issue with the Guardian's approach for example (small banner at the bottom asking if I'd like to contribute another way), or even with something that asks me politely to disable it. I don't like the great big message telling me off and refusing to allow access without it. I, without fail, refuse to go on any website like this.

    Incredibox is awesome. I am a music teacher and I love using this with the kids. They can use it in the lab or on the smartboard, and record their compositions to share with their other teachers or family. It's super easy to use and the kids are happy and get excited about it.

    Exactly. The main reason I have ublock origin is for intrusive and/or dangerous ads on random websites. Professional sites with tasteful adds, or sites I use a lot (like reddit) I turn it off. If I'm eating up their bandwidth, why shouldn't they get some money for it? It's not like the money's coming out of my pocket.

      Firstly, fuck people ripping into it for asking you to not use adblockers. The ads are placed in no-intrusive places, and on some screens don't even show up because the flashplayer window fills the window.

      Click the ublock icon, then the pipette. Select the adblock warning box and the page's background a few times. Reload the page one or two times and don't accidentally block a vital part of the site. You might also have to select the page once for each version of on one Inredibox page.

      Supporting small websites by allowing ads isn't the end of the world. In fact, I only use Adblock when the ads are extremely excessive. Who am I to deny someone easy, free money for the otherwise free enjoyment of their project?

      To get rid of the "Oops, you can't access with webpage with adblocker plus..."

      If you're in chrome/firefox right click on the message and choose inspect element. scroll up until you see:

      <div id="bbox" class="show-abp">

      right click on that line and select "delete" or "delete node"

      you can now use the site without disabling adblock.
