I sold some. I am not greedy and I was able to take a 24% profit.

People said the other exact same when google was at 100

Keeping winners is not greedy.

People here seem to think selling your winners is smart. Why is that?

I swear to god, when you figure that out, you will rule the world!!

You've got to be kidding.. why do so few of you not stick to your game plans? Its as simple as this: do your research and sell at the pre-determined point. Never hold any longer than that. This isn't a game of "buy now and sell when things look good", thats the strategy of a complete tit.

Why do so many of you make assumptions about people and give unsolicited condescending 'advice' based on your false assumptions? It's as simple as this: answer the fucking question that was asked and keep any other random nonsense that pops into your head to yourself.

I shouldn't really respond to this rubbish but:

false assumptions.

I think you mean entirely warranted assumptions. You just posted "Should I sell my GOOG" on an online message board. That screams "I have no idea what i'm actually doing" to everyone with any grasp of finance. We're not so much posting here to help you, as you don't seem to want to take advice, or listen to the voice of experience, rather we're helping the people here who genuinely want to learn about, and get better at what they're doing

That screams "I have no idea what i'm actually doing"

False assumption. In my case, what it means is that I'm lazy and 95% of the time I submit to this sub all I get are a bunch of condescending pricks making false assumptions about me anyway, so why bother?

you don't seem to want to take advice

That's true, I didn't come here for advice on how to be a better investor. If I wanted that, I would have more clearly noted that in the title, instead of asking 'should I sell my GOOG?'
