First off, no, you are the dick. you made a post expecting people to take their time to give you quality responses and insight on what you should do with your assets when all you did in your post was say 'Should I sell my GOOG?'.

Then you precede to say the basis for this question is gut-feeling and then you would buy SPY. Since you give us no other information, we (the readers) have to assume things in order to help you. The assumptions that I have after reading the minimal information you gave us is that you bought Google on hype with little to no extensive research. Which really means you shouldn't be investing into individual equities at all since at that point its the same as gambling.

Sounds like you need to get over yourself and realize that all that person said was the truth, they didn't try to insult or put you down at all.
