claiming that calling women “cis" is misogynistic because it puts certain women in a privileged class above other women is literally the worst argument i have ever heard

the term “cis" doesn’t place people in a privileged class

it is a signifier of a privileged class that they are already a part of

what the fuck are you even talking about

being female never confers privilege

you’re a misogynist hth

wait so what you’re saying is that women can never be privileged over other women

is that what you are saying to me

like i am actually confused what are you talking about

no

i don’t see why you’re confused

being white gives white privilege, so white people are privileged over people of colour, and white women are privileged over women of colour

being straight gives straight privilege, so straight people are privileged over gay people, and straight women are privileged over lesbians

being female does not give privilege. female women are not privileged over transwomen. being male is what gives the privilege. all males have male privilege, all females are oppressed by males. transwomen, being male, trans specifically meaning that they are male, have privilege over females. there is no such thing as female privilege, whatever you want to call it, unless you are an anti-feminist

you can call it pussy privilege or cis privilege. it’s the same. there is no female privilege, no vagina privilege, no female assigned at birth privilege. no cis privilege for women

This. Transwomen that do not pass retain their male privilege in most spheres. Transwomen that do pass as females lose access to much of their male privilege (although not male socialization, which is why they are excluded from female-only and WBW spaces) and begin receiving misogyny. An identity in your head pre-transition does not affect your privilege in the world, as privilege is judged and conferred upon an individual by external sources, and when passing as a female they get the same ol’ misogyny that women have been dealing with since birth.

Being female and being read as female garners no privilege. Conforming to gender hurts women; not conforming to gender hurts women. There is no privilege to be derived from being born female and being the target of lifelong misogyny. Claiming women have “cis privilege" is the same as MRAs claiming the existence of “female privilege". It just doesn’t work like that.

This really isn’t rocket science.

nope. it acknowledges that women (and other people but especially women) who are trans are part of an oppressed class...

The term “cis” conflates the oppressed class, female, with the oppressor class, male, in order to create the illusion...
