For context: OP's in-laws died in a car crash. OP and her husband take in her in-law's three young kids (OP's stepsiblings). Caring for three unexpected kids understandably proves overwhelming for OP. In an update thread, OP announces that she and her husband have agreed to move to Australia for a year as it will mean career advancement for OP and potentially allow the couple to better care for the kids. While two of the kids are excited about moving to Australia, one of the children, Tammy, calls OP a "cunt" for uprooting her from her normal life.

Many of the comments in the Update thread are happy and optimistic and don't address the outburst at all, but a few posters defend Tammy, noting that she's a 14-year old girl who just lost both her parents and is now having to move across the world and her lashing out, while inappropriate, is somewhat understandable. OP herself, along with one other user, take issue with one user's defense of Tammy.
