Just drove my first manual. (self.cars)

So I'm a 17 year old who has a 2002 Mazda MPV as a daily driver. I was at a family gathering and I have a cousin who has a 2008 VW Jetta GLI with a few mods. I'd only driven stick once before, for about 3 minutes in my other friends 99 NA Jetta with failing fuel lines.

My cousin let me drive his Jetta. I was nervous and I felt terrible that I kept stalling it... and i wasnt sure if the clutch was biting or not... and since he had a stage 1 clutch it was kinda hard to drive. but oh my god when I hit a shift right it was one of the best feelings in the world. When he told me to floor it, the noise of the turbo and being sucked into the back if the seat was one of the most addicting things I've ever experienced...

So I guess where I'm going with this is... what's the happiest moment you've ever had while driving a car?

Well to start my grandparents are away a lot. And before me and my brother always had to feed their cat's. So one night while his friend was over with his vr6 jetta we thought to stop by their house and get in their wrx, which was going to be my car.

We had never been in one and I only have just heard how quick these cars were. And my brother thought this car was very slow. Needless to say we were both very surprised of the speed of this car. The 1st gear pull to from like 10-35 mph was brutal and the car did end up beating his friends jetta. For about a year on whenever my grandparents had left we took the car for a few days, to school, gym, whatever. Don't think I went to bed that night though, got to shut my brother up for a bit about my car and it was a blast to just be in the passenger seat.

I just love hopping in my miata and finding a new mountain road and go exploring. Love it. I recently bought my first manual a miata then I got a manual jeep:)

Best memory so far was when I was learning to drive stick. Every shift put a smile on my face. Even if I was in a 25 year old car.

Best moment I've ever had driving a car.. That's a hard one. I've done some dumb shit with cars, I've done some fun shit with cars, but probably the most fun I've ever had in a car was tandem drifting my 1993 Crown Victoria with my buddies 350z. It was like an elephant and a cheetah running together, it probably looked weird as hell, but it still sticks out to me today as being one of the most fun things I've done in a car.

I giggle like a girl when I could heel toe down shift with a perfect rev match without a slight jerk on the car.

For some reason I'm still not used to the MS6. Way different than all my previous manual cars.
