I think the main issue is that lookism is an independent forum you have to register for whereas subbing a reddit channel (or whatever it's called - I don't use reddit) is very easy because reddit is fairly mainstream and lots of people already have an account there.
This forum would do better, unfortunately, if it were exclusively on reddit.
I think this is what comes down to, honestly.
