the bot has 2 algorithms for looking for a 'me too thanks' comment.

#1 : look for 'me X thank' where X is a random word. That means 'me t00 thanks' gets accepted too.

#2 : iterate through a list of known variations such as 'meme too danks'

Chances are that the bot saw your comment but couldnt comment because of a post limit.

Not OP, but here's some pseudocode of how it probably worked:

Ranks were probably kept in a dictionary that was pickled, or in a CSV file.
