That's a hurdle, sure, I'll admit that. But it's a small one.

Those African children with distended bellies and flies on their faces in the Sally Struthers ad only need to be introduced to the very CONCEPT of bitcoin. The walls of "total lack of internet access," "zero access to tech," and "total and complete disinterest, even among the Greeks who are 50 years more advanced than those poor kids" will dissolve right before our eyes. They are used to carrying well water and scrap to the processing plant, surely they can hold our bags as well.

Yeah we know, that's the problem. Even a cursory reading of a simple econ book like Naked Economics would show exactly how far out of line bitcoin is. Basically bitcoin grabbed the best economic advice it could and went "well fuck that noise, lets do the opposite"

No. My mum I was at the dawn of punk, when Green Day played Woodstock '94. Record labels tried to hold back punk but then Green Day released American Idiot and the U.S. gubmint couldn't do a thing to stop them. I still have the torrented MP3 somewhere, which I'm sure the FDA has banned by now.
