You forget too soon ! What about all that research showing the flavour of CIA/NSA/GCHQ in the design ? What about bitgold ? What about the dead ends you find if you try to research the person known as Nick Szabo ?

The Bitcoin protocol, the whitepaper, the technical details of its functions, secp256k1... It sure doesn't look like the benign experiment of a single libertarian geek to me .

For those interested in digging try doing some serious research on Nick Szabo. You won't find anything at all which is independently verifiable as a real person prior to a few years B.B. No employment history, no education history, no friends, no photos, nada. Sure there is someone pretending to be him now so who is that guy, and who is paying him to do that ? You are all being played, my friends.
