I know from personal experience that she's not very professional in communication, but to put a PSA out saying "Do not order" is a pretty big statement to make. Has your friend spoken to the owner? And given them time to respond? Yes half filling a tube is shoddy, but mistakes happen and packages get chucked around by USPS all the time, so I don't think you can blame the mirror on her. All I'm saying is, I think we should be reasonable before we tell people to avoid a company.

The owner responded but hasn't offered a refund or any compensation for the wrong item. My friend started a convo with her on instagram but once she suggested moving it to etsy, the seller stopped communicating altogether.

Wow, completely cut off ties with the customer? That should actually be the biggest red flag to not buy from a company.

Every single thing about that order was wrong. I can understand one thing happening, but to send out the wrong color only partly full and leaking and then refuse to offer a refund is not acting in good faith. This is exactly when I want to see this sort of warning.

Implying that she isn't being reasonable is rather insulting. If you don't find this info helpful, feel free not to read it. Some of us do.

and then refuse to offer a refund is not acting in good faith.

In all fairness, if I have my timetable right according to what OP said in a comment below, this was posted when they were still in active communication with the shop owner, meaning there hadn't been a refusal of refund or resending yet. Unreasonable? No. Jumping the gun a bit? Arguable.

Considering the other poor practices, I think she's being quite reasonable. It's not like her saying to avoid it puts some sort of compulsion on you and she's given plenty of evidence for why.

I'm very glad that OP made this post as it is extremely important information for potential customers to have. Having said that, I too take issue with the wording of the title. The idea of blacklisting a company has caused some contention in the IMAM community and I don't think we should be acting as an authority on what brands should (or should not be, in this case) be ordered from.

There is enough information and evidence in this post to make most people think "Oh HELL no" about ordering from GiveMeGlow. If an informed person still wishes to order from them then they should feel free to do so.

Agreed. I would change the title to "ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK". I was upset at the situation and worded the title incorrectly.

This is all semantics. It's not like you can actually tell people what or what not to buy. You were just trying give us a heads up and as a member of the community I appreciate it so much.

Thank you for your support. I'm grateful that you understand what I had set out to do.

NP. I just noticed our responses to /u/missmisfit were basically the same. I too quoted the dictionary to them. lol :D
