im not complaining about anything, im saying the whole idea of "hating freedom" was propaganda and never true

Oh, we all know that. It's just your last line that got responses.

youre still insulting them by doing it

Then they haven't learned even basic tolerance. Their beliefs govern their behavior. When they try to govern my behavior they've gone too far.

When feminists say that Muslims are bad because their women cover up, I say feminists are bad. When Muslims say feminists are bad for drawing Mohammed, I say Muslims are bad. They need to keep their stupid beliefs to themselves and let people do what they want within reasonable laws.

its more a matter of "lets not taunt dangerous people at least until we have a means of stopping them attacking random civilians"

Almost a reasonable argument, but they're not killing random civilians, are they? They're killing the artists and publicists, and not many.

the whole idea of normal muslims being outraged about insulting religion is kinda wierd on a website where christians get really butthurt about atheism and agnosticism despite them being the defaults in most of the western world

I oppose those who are unreasonably butthurt, though I think this is more of an Atheist website in general. Either way.

not when they like bombing places that do it

I don't recall any bombings for drawing Mohammed. Maybe it's happened, but it's not a big threat.

I appreciate my right to offend the easily offended, and I'm willing to take some risks to keep that right. I wish you'd agree with me, because our rights and freedoms are all we really have. Without them, everything else can be taken from us.

extremists have resorted to extremism for certain reasons

not least of all the wests treatment and exploitation of their region and people, perceived or otherwise

when people in the west do this mockingly and specifically to elicit a reaction its seen as insult on top of injury from sheltered people with easy lives

Almost a reasonable argument, but they're not killing random civilians, are they?

its sort of targeted but as long as the target and reasoning is known afterwards i dont imagine they care too much

the whole idea is to scare people into thinking it could happen anywhere at anytime

I oppose those who are unreasonably butthurt, though I think this is more of an Atheist website in general. Either way.

where do you think the whole "fedora" thing and nerdy stereotype came from

I appreciate my right to offend the easily offended, and I'm willing to take some risks to keep that right.

as long as you dont act surprised when something happens and accept it as part of the risk

I wish you'd agree with me, because our rights and freedoms are all we really have. Without them, everything else can be taken from us.

im a big supporter of freedoms, but just because you can do something doesnt mean you should
