/r/hailcorporate.

edit for the people replying to me: I'm sorry to hear that some people care so deeply about brand recognition being allowed on reddit. You should know by now that corporations are clever with the native advertisement on reddit, it is so common on this subreddit that I tend to assume any and all corporate logos presented in images promoting features about the brand that place it in a positive light to be commercialising. It certainly seems to be the case here, and I stand by this comment calling it out as such.

also the comments in this thread sound like robotic replies from generic upvoters.

So what should we just not be allowed to say brand names on reddit anymore?

If you even think about a brand name product while using Reddit you are, in fact, a corporate shill. Only the truly enlightened at /r/hailcorporate can see the truth.

It certainly isn't like a company released a joke item to promote itself and people thought it was actually pretty funny. Everything is a conspiracy!

There is no denying that the original link to the DVD order site was shameless promotion when it happened, but I just thought it was funny that arbys actually delivered. I was expecting an email in response thanking me for my interest in "sold out" DVDs that never even existed, and being given a coupon instead. But no, legit free DVDs.

TLDR: I thought the initial offer was bogus but funny, but Arbys did in fact deliver

He won it from a contest. Limited supply of like 500 or something, so it's not like he's trying to sell the DVD set for arbys. Take it easy champ.

I .. Don't think hail corporate is about turning around and selling something to someone else.

It's about recognizing how pervasive brand advertising is that it's commonplace for Redditors to mention name brands for the companies (thus doing free advertising for them).

To top it off, companies plant stories for said advertising. Some redditors just dislike being misled. Companies should only use normal advertising channels rather than "lul free viral redditors are idiots."

Your username is LITERALLY a commercial product.

Hail corporate, indeed...

edit: And almost every single thing you post or talk about is a commercial product.

Double hail corporate...
