I had the honor of meeting Monty and the RT guys on a few occasions as we both worked in various convention dealers' halls, but way beyond that was his profound impact he had on me with the amazing animations he put together. I'll never forget the first time I watched Haloid at a friend's house and was just completely blown away. We must have watched it 3 or 4 times in a row. I can't believe he's gone now, from something so simple and seemingly minute.

This is a huge loss, not just for his close friends and family, but for the entire Internet and all of the millions of people who enjoyed his work.
