The curious thing about this is more that people don't understand how the game works. Cue nerfs of the M18 Hellcat because it was damned fast and could flank the Tigers in War Thunder.

Of course the problem was never the M18 being OP, it was that the map design was atrocious because the spawn points were waaay too close. But Muh Tigers too UP.

Another problem are the screwed up richochet/sloping mechanics that made it possible for Hellcats to bounce 88 mm AP shots.

Yeah the angling mechanics are weird. They've finally implemented proper spalling, but the gist was, they needlessly nerfed a tank that really wasn't that powerful, it just took some adaptive playing.

Now since the mobility has been cut (needlessly) the original tactic of counter flanking and slow advancing defense of Tigers is even more viable than prior. Sure the IS-2 will destroy even a rhomboid Tiger I, but that's to be expected. Hellcats weren't that powerful if you made efforts to place yourself in a good defensive position. But that requires teamwork.

Oh god in warthunder the Germans are never happy unless they are top dog in every way possible. ''Tier 3 Americans are getting fucked over by Tiger and Panther spam? We'll give them the M18 and M36 to help counter them'' which they end up doing quit well. Cue mass wehraboo outrage because they're to stupid to protect their flanks and get fucked over. Granted the map design doesn't help.

OH MY GOD this happens all the time with the Tiger I in World of Tanks.

"why doesnt the tiger melt everything in sight and never get blown up i think it should be placed in tier V instead of tier VII"

First off, it's a fucking box without any sloped armor to speak of. You have to be careful with it instead of yelling "KRUPP STAHL" and charging ahead. Even lower-tier tanks like the T-34-85 can reliably penetrate Tigers. That's not dev bias, that's how it was in real life.

At tier VII, the Tiger goes against Tiger-killers such as the IS and T29 (fuck the devs for making the odds fair). Thankfully, the fully-upgraded Tiger is based off an experimental model with the 88mm gun from the Tiger II. If anything, the devs made it more powerful than your average Tiger would have been.

The solution? Quit whining because your mythical tank isn't as powerful as you think it was. The Tiger in WoT is a fine sniping tank and can wreck shit if you use it properly.

Tiger I was actually my favorite tank in World of Tanks, never understood what people's problem was. It had the most accurate and penetrating gun of tier 7 heavies, I couldn't stand the IS gun (too slow and inaccurate) or the T29 gun (too inaccurate).

I guess being superb at hiding in a bush and sniping doesn't fit with the wehraboo conception of German tanks driving around with impunity bouncing every shell and one shotting all untermensch.

Weren't Tigers most effective at long range anyway? That certainly fits with the playstyle in WoT.

I see it all the time in WoT and WT alike.
In WoT it is mainly because German tanks actually require some shreds of skill while playing (mainly in the angling department because of unsloped armor), but in the right hands they are incredibly potent (especially when we look at the Tiger, the E-75, E-50 or the Rhm-B WT). However, when we come down to the top tier vehicles, the USSR machines simply decimate everything they face (especially the T-54 with full HEAT ammo loadout, any of the tier X medium tanks or the IS-7).
In War Thunder Air Part, there is far more hate against bad US teams rather than UP German stuff, but I can still remember the time when the Me262 had to go fight F-86 Sabres and MiG-15s on a daily basis (that did not end well of course).

The problem though is that they REALLY don't. All you do is drive in a rhombus position in the Tiger I or II in War thunder.

HEAT rounds are actually a great balancing tool now since there are more post WWII tanks aside from the T-54. AS for the ME-262, that was just bad balancing.
