Shouldn't the current platforms of each party matter more than what they did 70/150 years ago? Surely the Democrats are no longer in favor of slavery or internment camps, so I don't see how it's relevant to how one would vote today. This isn't an argument for the Democrats or against the GOP either, just an argument that this is really shitty logic and most of you probably know that it's shitty logic.

Yes, freed his ancestors nearly 150 years ago and place him in an internment camp nearly 70 years ago. Events from that long ago should have no sway in the politics of today. Literally every angle is different.
